Leave it to a expansion team owner to not know the importance of tradition. BTW, Panthers have the stupidest looking colors and logo.

Still the Chargers don't have an approved site although eventually Carson would be I guess. He'd be up to his eyeballs with GS not believe in a lot of gravy on the table.

Is this all the gentle way to cut Oakland out of the pie now?
It used to be when you read something in the paper you would tend to believe it. Through this entire saga between all the different cities I have lost that faith. This could be real or could be smoke.

And so what if only one team does go to LA just Crocky go rogue. Antitrust and all. His stadium would be done soonest.

Or maybe we're all just dream and all along. I'm really starting to hate the effing chargers

Best policy is to stop believing anything the media says, and think about what makes the most sense without all of the noise. I've found that the most logical answer is the most likely one. And in this case, it's clearly ESK's stadium, either with the Rams going it alone or with a tenant.

And so if only one team does go to LA,might ESK consider going anyway since the saturation thing is cut in half Antitrust and all. His stadium would be done soonest.

For sure. Just pointing out the folly.

Still starting to dislike the Chargers though.

Is opposition to Rams' move emerging?
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/p ... e-emerging

"ST. LOUIS --We usually kick off the week with a review of something from Sunday's slate of games, but Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio offered a post related to the St. Louis Rams and their potential relocation on Sunday night that was too interesting to ignore.

According to Florio, a group of influential owners actively opposed to the Rams' efforts to move to Los Angeles is beginning to emerge. Florio mentions Carolina's Jerry Richardson as one of those owners, which is notable since Richardson is a part of the NFL's committee on Los Angeles opportunities.

Like most of the rest of this process, things are constantly bubbling under the surface and the end game remains anyone's guess. But it's notable that a prominent name has at least been paired with this particular round of reporting.

At this point, it seems many options remain in play and there's little doubt that things will evolve and change before a decision is made. At least in the court of public opinion. And no matter how it turns out, with each day, at least we move closer to a much-needed conclusion.
"

Well that was informative.

And the public charade continues. What a PR machine this NFL juggarnaut spints.

I'm soooooo very glad that I learned of this forum, because we've got a group of people here that just don't swallow every bait-hook thrown at them. It's really nice to be around a group like this.

I think most of us can tell that Inglewood is the most logical stadium, and would even if teams/owners were different. Of course that doesn't mean the NFL will be smart about it, because they do stupid things all the time, but if they look at things logically then it should be Inglewood.

I'm sure that Spanos' various friendship's around the league will factor in a small way, but I get the feeling that Goodell is going to be a strong pusher for Inglewood..... Afterall his job probably depends on it. How? He wants to make 25 billion dollars annually for the league within the next 12 years, and right now they're behind schedule. Why do they keep Goodell around gaffe after gaffe? He makes them money and he has a plan to make them even more. If they don't think he's going to keep making them more money, they'll replace him quickly.

All three teams will get a new stadium eventually, either in LA or their home markets, or somewhere else. So what's going to make them the most money fast? Inglewood is going to bring in billions of dollars more... The NFL thinks that charging 4.5 million dollars for a 30 second ad is bringing in serious cash, wait until they figure out how much they can charge for an ad on the roof of the stadium. You can't do that anywhere, there really wont be anything like it for a long time.

Goodell probably knows this... Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft know this, so do a few other owners. Sure, there will be some that are more about friendships, but at what cost? Is Spanos worth risking losing out on billions of extra dollars? Is Spanos worth risking the chance for everyone to have at least a billion dollars (a few, Rooney included aren't) and those who already are to be even bigger ones?

This is same crap that Policy/Fabiani were floating - that Daniel Kaplan (no friend of the LA Rams) stated was an over-reach. If you get LA you don't get to "keep" San Diego.

Clearly a media plant to offset the Bradshaw comments. We all saw this coming - especially TSFH!

Yeah, those are pretty ugly too. BTW, what's the fixation in the deep south with large cats? Panthers, Jaguars, Tigers for most of the SEC schools.
