Maybe they move the uniform change UP a year. Since it wouldn't coincide with the opening of the stadium, why not do it sooner if the league allows it?

2020 starting roster will no doubt look quite different than this year's starting roster, more than a few guys won't be around by the time the rams take the field in inglewood, hell if mcvay and company crash and burn they might not be around either...

I hear Mission Valley is available, or maybe the Oakland Coliseum in 2019...

rams74 wrote:Yeah, I understand this sentiment. But remember when the news about the stadium first came out, they were talking about being ready by the 2018 season. Then that got pushed back to 2019, when the relocation vote didn't take place until January 2016, when, according to reports at least, the Rams were ready for a decision sometime during the previous fall. There was talk that Kroenke was ready to break ground in December for a 2018 opening, and when December got pushed to January, the completion date on the stadium got pushed to 2019.

The way I see it, the real problem came when nothing happened at the site all of last year. After the relocation announcement in January, I fully expected the Rams to break ground and get going on the project, but that didn't happen. Maybe that was the FAA thing, but since everybody said that the FAA thing would get worked out (and it eventually did), I thought they could be working on the site in the meantime. But they didn't. They didn't really start work until November last year, and by then it's winter and they've really backed themselves into a corner with the schedule depending on good weather. Had they started in August, for example, they would have been depending on good weather in the fall, and it would have been clear sailing.

I understand that in the grand scheme of things it doesn't make that much difference, but it's disappointing. And OBTW, the Rams have shown a high degree of tone-deafness regarding the uniform changes. They wanted the new uniforms to coincide with the stadium, and it wouldn't surprise me a bit if that's what happens.

That's a good point about the FAA, very plausibly the main factor in all of this...
