Can't say with any certainty, but can see that happening.

And with Fisher's blessings, with the Rams. If one doubt's his character, he shouldn't be anywhere in the league. Much less as a DC in the NFL. One step from the HC.

Completely agree and even were he to get a chance again I wouldn't want him. He's cut from the same cloth as Fisher. No discipline in his players and no accountability.

I will try to add my two cents without raising my blood pressure too much.

Blame meter:
#1 Fisher. His game management was typical, in the range of, head scratching to almost outright criminal at times. Wasting challenges and time outs like he has an endless supply of them is enough to make me sick. His lack of play to win vs. play not to lose mentality will always, as a fact, lose more games then will win. Which reflects his mediocre to poor record the last five frickin years. That's enough talk about that, as my blood pressure is starting to rise.

#2 Offense. But this is more the fault of #1 problem, Fisherball. The same old, same old, no aggressiveness, hold on to a meager lead mentality. Here I go again with Fisher and my blood is starting to boil over, so I will move on.

#3 Defense. What can I say, they have been absolute studs the last few games, but when it mattered most, a complete melt down. Unacceptable. I am sorry, but a great defense does not melt down like they did. When it mattered most, the Dolphins went through the Rams "D" like a hot knife through melted butter. Not sure if it was a the prevent D or what, but it was a big fat fail. Then there was, the usual Fisherball, lack of any disciplined. How many penalties in the last two drives alone? It was downright criminal. Here I go again, my blood pressure is rising to an alarming level, so I shall stop here.

But before I go, if you don't already know, my opinion is Fisher is the biggest problem.

The 4th and 1 call was a joke. But it was an extension of the offensive play-calling over the entire game. The play to not lose mentality that was so self-evident throughout. As soon as GZ's kick clanked off the upright, I said out loud, "We're going to lose." We were up by 10, the Dolphins had done absolutely nothing up to that point, but it absolutely felt like the switch had already been flipped. And it wasn't the Dolphins who flipped it. Fisher never gave Goff a chance to do anything. And the margin for error is so perilously thin when you play that way. And once the momentum switched, there was no getting it back. To me it felt like the defense was struggling to get their momentum back, which is what resulted in those horrible defensive penalties -- they were fighting the fact that their timing was gone and were trying to over-compensate and force it.

I had seen enough of Fisherball some time ago, but after yesterday I'm fully on board the bandwagon. I can't cheer for the Rams to lose. But he's got to go. I don't see any way for this to work.

This is the main point for me. He comes from the Buddy Ryan tree and has similar views to Fisher about offense, at least he did when he was HC of Buffalo...

One rumor I heard, is Fisher may not be coaching, but he would be going up stairs as VP of the organization, next year.

There will be plenty of options next year. The LA market is very attractive.

I believe Gregg Williams will be on the top of a short list. We need his defense and he can bring in a coordinator. There will be a top tier list of those available as well.

Next year will be a much better year.

If we believe this, then I say we start his audition ... now.

Not sure I understand. Why would Fisher give blessing for Williams to replace him?
I think the NFL is cool with Williams reinstatement as a DC because the HC has to co-sign him and its on his head.
As a HC? Don't think that would fly

You know for as much bad mouthing as I have spewed over the years, regarding Fisher, I would love for this to happen. He has an uncanny eye for defense that is almost unmatched.

Do it Mitch.....

Don't know how you blame the penalties on the coach. But yes, someone needed to step up with a sack or something.

Yep, up 2 scores and the field goal changes nothing really other than preventing the possible tie - which is why Fisher did that i am certain. But, c'mon man, show some balls and go for it on 4th and 1, eat more clock and win the game. Just a gutless call there.
