Has it been determined if betting on a Las Vegas team (at least by the Vegas casinos) is legal?

Over saturating LA would be a bad idea. Still worried the Raiders will come if the Chargers gets their way in SD.
Seems odd as the bay area is a much larger TV market (#3 , formerly #2), but LA has to be attractive to that team with their base here too.

New leverage for the NFL stadium game. With LA and/or SF open, good luck to any city holding out for a new stadium.

Under the circumstances, Oakland sure is driving a hard bargain to keep them by raising the rent on that dilapidated stadium. Let's hope the higher rent is going towards renovations that are attractive to the Raiders.

Believe me i've spent many a football Sunday in a Vegas sportsbook.

But with the Raiders moving from Oakland to Vegas are you going to gain or lose eyeballs? And will it be significant?

The bay area is the 6th biggest tv market. Vegas is 40th. People are already watching football in sportsbooks. So i'm not sure how that one works out...

Having the highest hotel tax in the country shouldn't worry them. I've never been to San Diego but from all I've heard, they have the nicest weather in the country. I don't think raising that tax will scare tourists away. I hope they get their new stadium because I'd like the Rams new home to be the Rams new home and not like the Giants/Jets. Of course the new place is called MetLife Stadium buts the Jets played in "Giants Stadium" for years. Not only is it not unique to either team, it makes scheduling more difficult for the NFL and in the event both teams make the playoffs, could certainly create a snafu. Supposed the first game played is played in driving rain and the field gets tore up? The second game might as well be played in the parking lot. But back to the new Chargers Stadium. Go Spanos!!!!

The only way to check the net change would be to look at the last two years Raider TV ratings in the Bay. Until the lifted the blackout rule Raider home games were almost never shown locally. Also IMO it might increase TV ratings since the Oakland fan base will be able to watch it on tv finally. Personally I think a vegans is a TV win even with the change in market size.

I had read last year that SF/Oak were the 2nd largest but according to the attached analysis, your numbers are correct.
