Pooh Paul has a very good chance at starting. May not be week 1. But I’d bet he is in that ILB rotation sooner rather than later. The dude can flat out play. Landman went undrafted but yeah, he's played 3 years, starting 23 games. Paul is a green rookie but a talented green rookie who the Rams traded up to get. As far as Landman having experience in Raheem's system, yes he has. He started week 1 but was injured and missed the next 4 games. Then he saw a lot of snaps from game 6 through game 11 (averaged 88% of team snaps). But from game 12 through 16, he averaged a meager 37%. Why the drop off and then allowing him to walk? If he was an important contributor to Raheem's defense, I'd think they would have kept him. The Rams signed him to a cheap 1.1 mil deal. That means if he's a starter, what a steal but if he doesn't earn the job out of camp or loses it to Paul, no big loss money wise. Was he an important signing or was his signing a contingency if they couldn't get a LB in the draft? Hey, I hope he plays lights out but I don't know how much the Rams are tied to that wagon.I'm not disagree about Paul being a future starter, I'm just saying as of right now, I just see Landman as our starter based off his experience, unless there is an injury. by Zen_Ronin 22 hours 34 minutes ago Total posts: 2391 Joined: Sep 26 2016 Edmonton, AB Pro Bowl Re: My Assessment on This Years 2025 Draft! This year the roster is set. It was more about quality than quantity. The acquisition of the Falcons first round pick made this draft an A plus by itself. Getting a playmaker at tight end and a quality defensive end who fits the culture perfectly makes it all a bonus. POST #39 Rams get A+. Whenever youre able to get a first round draft pick the following year when you’re at the end of the first round draft in this year thats a huge win. And youre able to still get the player you wanted is a huge win. They were debating taking Ferguson in the first round and got him at 64. There was debate they liked him better then any of the other tight ends Warren and Loveland. He looks explosive on tape. Whenever I saw him at Oregon he was making plays and thats with Dillon Gabriel. Imagine him with Matthew Stafford. He will help us with our next Quarterback also. He has the burst. I saw that with Kittle and Kelce. Hes got great size and hands things you look for in a tight end. They didnt reach for loveland. Give Snead the credit. He has a great eye. Hunter looks like a gamer. He runs angry and hard like a Frank Gore. They got something special there. Kyren Williams will start and contribute. But they have great insurance with Hunter. Eventually he will be the starter. So getting two Starters Hunter and Ferguson are huge. The point I made about Ferguson running the fastest time at the combine is huge. Thats a big deal. That means hes explosive. This is easily a guy I would see the Chiefs getting and we got him. Great job by Mcvay and Sneed. As for that pick next year anything can happen. That pick can be 1 -5 10 15-22But it’s a high value pick. Players tear ACLs Achilles and I want Michael Phenix to have a huge year. But he’s got a well documented history with injuries leading back to Indiana with his knees. If his knee buckles up. They could go 1-15 and we get Arch Manning by default. or they could just have a slow start. New Orleans will suck. Carolina will be better and Tampa Bay is the toast of the division. So realistically Atlanta is looking like a 2nd place finish. This draft is loaded with Quarterback talent 1. Arch Manning 2. Iamalava. 3. Klubiack. 4. Mussingier. 5. Beck So we’ll definitely get one of our guys. Next years draft looks like Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels. Very smart to not draft the Quarterback in this years draft. This year was a terrible draft for Quarterbacks. One Quarterback in this draft. Rams crushed this draft and were far and away better than any other team in this division with their draft. by Zen_Ronin 20 hours 13 minutes ago Total posts: 2391 Joined: Sep 26 2016 Edmonton, AB Pro Bowl My Assessment on This Years 2025 Draft! My guess right now, one pick in the hight teens and one in the high 20's, if not pick 32. Also, knowing Les and Sean, and depending on how badly they want any supossed QB next year, and the talent involved, I wouldn't be surprised to see them throw 4 #1's to get what they want. I will continue to foolishly talk sh*t about random players because they get better IMMEDIATELY after I do!! I give it an A-. I just think there were at least two needs (in my mind ((O-Line, and CB/Safety)) that I have yet to see directly addressed in a serious way. That could yet come. But I'm just look at the draft as an isolated sample. Still. I like WHO we got, at the postions they play. POST #35 Zen_Ronin, PARAM liked this post Two years ago we came off a 5 win season. We had a lot of holes to fill. They accumulated 14 picks. Found a couple gems and some nice role players. This year the roster is set. It was more about quality than quantity. The acquisition of the Falcons first round pick made this draft an A plus by itself. Getting a playmaker at tight end and a quality defensive end who fits the culture perfectly makes it all a bonus. Even if the rest don't go as planned. 2 by Elvis 21 hours 38 minutes ago Total posts: 41162 Joined: Mar 28 2015 Los Angeles Administrator My Assessment on This Years 2025 Draft! McVay: 77-49, 2 Superbowls, 1 Lombardi............Doubt at your own peril 1 by ramman2999 21 hours 4 minutes ago Total posts: 909 Joined: Nov 23 2022 LA Coliseum Veteran My Assessment on This Years 2025 Draft! I believe there's a good cbance it's either the NY football Giants or Tennessee. Both have their QBs of the future this year, so it shouldn't be difficult to massage that pick from them. It's just that a few people were suggesting that the Falcons pick was pointless unless it was a 15 or higher, which just isn't true.
