True--no linebacker or safety help; plenty of missed tackles. But most glaring was that our defensive tackle(s) made no penetration, were pushed back a yard or two and were handled by one-on-one blocking, freeing up other o-lineman to kickout and lead block or block down.

Ok, I'll agree designed outside runs. But hard for me blame to DTs for those, someone has to come up and fill or set the edge or make a tackle on the second level.

And we got caught in the same bad defensive look multiple times.

No doubt our ILB's weren't top notch. In fact, Rozenboom has just signed with another team. Some here like Speights. He's not bad and could improve with experience but that's a gamble to me. But, the problem was compounded by the fact that our interior d-line couldn't occupy more that one or two o-linemen, freeing the other o-linemen to block our ilb's at the second level, which generally is a mismatch, especially with ours. From what I've seen of Pooka Ford, he too relies on his initial move. If that fails, he's not going to make a play unless it comes to him.

Bottom line, I like the Poona Ford signing. You don't. Time will tell.
