Amen, brother. Friggin clueless is about right.

Actually, I guess I expect a close game. But expectations can tricky for season openers, especially on the road against the team that beat us in the playoffs last season.

I hope we see excellent line play on both sides of the ball - including edge on D. That happens and we will be in this game for sure. If not, gonna be a long night.

There's no way to know how this game is gonna go. It's a new year, for both teams. Will they live up to expectations, come out of the gate hot, stumbling? who knows?

Spread still Detroit by 3.5...

They looked really good in camp the day I saw them. A lot has changed. The depth will be tested immediately. All about the line play to me. That will tell the story.

Sports are supposed to be a respite from life's angst!!

I'm elated it's time to watch NFL football. Playing the pools, both fantasy and financial. Watching how "that guy was drafted way to early" turns into "damn that dude is a stud" or the other way around and seeing who eats their crow-biscuits willingly and who doesn't. No angst, only possibilities.

Fans who suffer angst are probably affected by their team's 6 off days as much as or more than they are with their game that week. That's gotta be grueling. Thank god for Thursday Night, Sunday Night and Monday Night football!!!

The NFL is a long season consisting of a very small number of games, with every quarter or couple of series carrying as much importance as an entire game in any other sport. So why does the season seem to go much faster?

This season, the best part of opening weekend is the fact the Rams start on SNF. We get to watch somebody lose on Thursday, then 13 more on Sunday before settling in to watch the Rams! So much will have happened, that will have an effect on the season before the Ram's game kicks off. Awesome.

As far as the fans who have angst and twisting guts for the next 6 months, relax.....the Rams are gonna kick ass!

JB is not entirely correct. Last year in my fantasy league, I used my last draft pick on Puka Nacua. I didn't start him game 1, but he was on my team. Started him the rest of the year, though, and finished first in the fantasy regular season (I lost my fantasy Super Bowl).

We lost the greatest defensive player in history (arguably). The last thing any reasonable person might expect is a defense.....or particularly a defensive line.....to be as good. Certainly losing AD will have a big impact. But what if they've hit on something there with the draft. Young and Turner last year, Verse and Fiske this year. Maybe Davis too? Ahhh...too much to expect. That's why they invested in the secondary too. DWill, White and Curl. Kinchens in the draft. Durant and Lake from 2022. I'm thinking they could be pretty good.....if only. Then all we'd need is a good offense. :x
