I had not seen that highlight reel before and it does nothing to instill confidence. For a full college career highlight reel, the two main things that stood out to me were: 1) not a single broken tackle, 2) No "wow" moves in the open field. 1 can be dealt with, but as a small, "lights out" speed receiver, you just have to have some wow moves. I truly do give the benefit of the doubt to Los Ramos personnel decisions, I just can't help but feel this was a miss. I hope I'm wrong and he comes out with fire in the feet and sticky hands!!

I was expecting to see some dynamite jukes, given this is suppose to be his highlight reel. RAMS have done real well in the personnel department so we'll just have to wait and see what transpires.

The Rams are really good at this stuff so i'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt but nobody hits on every pick and Tutu has yet to show anything.

Still, we've been here before. Players we write off end up contributing: Brian Allen, Greg Gaines, some players take a while, seem like they're busts and then suddenly they're important pieces.

Is Brycen Hopkins gonna be next? TLew? Travin Howard is already starting to step up.

And then there's Henderson. A lot of talk we'd see two back sets with him and Gurley his rookie year but basically it ended up being a red shirt season for him. Then they drafted Cam and conventional wisdom was Rams were admitting that Henderson was a mistake. But was he?

The way the Rams do things it's just really hard to draw definitive conclusions these days. And as much as they're winning, hard to argue they don't know what they're doing...

Tutu's fast. But as Tavon Austin learned, so is everyone in the NFL. He never adjusted to that. Will Tutu learn NFL speed? I don't know. McVay and Snead are pretty smart guys. But I fear they might have outsmarted themselves on this one.

Snead has whiffed before, as someone pointed out in the Bobby Wagner thread. Hindsight is 20/30. He has whiffed at OL as well. We will know probably all we need to know as this season unfolds. I saw things in preseason I liked. And he was very productive in college, regardless of “highlights”. I just don’t know the role they envision for him.

Who knows if they got it right or wrong? We'll see. I do know this.....(many more times than not).......when you are a good team, the draftees have to be excellent coming in to see time because the guy in place is good. When you're a crap team, the draftees have starting slots and have to lose them because the guy in place probably isn't very good. And it could work favorably for the draftee because he can make the mistakes in practice instead of the game.

Yep we dont know yet. So far Tutu doesnt look so good, but who had Greg Gaines becoming a legit force as a starter. Hell we werent sure he was going to make the team in 2021. Got to give some time, see if the light bulb goes on and if has worked on his body.

How much practice did he get? Wasn't he injured for over half the season? I don't think he even practiced at all after week 8.

I would LOVE for Tutu to become the "weapon" that he was envisioned to be but I just don't see how that happens.

The "little" I did see from him showed me nothing special.

He didn't look faster than the NFL DB's...
He didn't look elusive at all...not even a "little" bit.
He didn't look like his body could handle the NFL level hits...
Or the impact from hitting the turf when tripping over his own feet.

However, Tutu DID look like one thing...he looked like he didn't belong in the NFL.

Let's just say when it came to Tutu's chances to impress this year...he came up a "little short".

Maybe next year (if he's still on the team) he can put on his big boy pants and try again. I wish him luck. I hope he succeeds because that means our Rams will be a better team.
