The risk to reward ratio seem prohibitive for a move now.
Think about it. Pay a buck rent and be a tenant and the Rams runt bitch,,, or forego a $100MM gift from the NFL and risk $1.85 BB investment to get equity stake in stadium but only revenue from Chargers related op's. If that's really the deal for the Chargers (or the Raiders) I can see them passing on it..
Fabianos can keep up the smoke screen until July, and then play out the season continuing to try at 1 last shot. If SD fails, then they will announce their intention to go to LA for the 2017 or 2018 season. ESK said he want's 2 years head start. If he's been the good soldier all along and is writing those hefty checks, that is how it should be..

I could be wrong but I believe the Chargers have to come back to the table with San Diego in order for that June vote to take place. They would've held one in January but the Chargers walked away from negotiations. I think there are still details that need to be worked out before it goes to a ballot. They need to lay out exactly what is being voted on.

Again, I could be wrong....wouldn't be the 1st time.

I know the NFL appeased SD and Oak on Tuesday. Gave them both a 1 year crack at it, in the correct order, but they also offered $100 million dollars not to move. The open locker room serves the league well through it's relocation potential. (SD currently)
We always felt it made no sense them going to StL because it didn't.

Totally agree. I was on the side of the Rams alone in Inglewood and use the 2nd team in as leverage on San Diego and Oakland for awhile. I was getting accepting of a 2nd team up front because it looked like that was the only way it would bring the Rams home. I'm glad it went the way it did and still want the Chargers/Raiders to get stadiums in their home markets. They have an extra $100 million to bring to the table.

I also thought that having the league on our side was a good thing. Goodell just wasn't fighting like he did with the Vikings. He kept pointing to the arbitration process. Grubman even showed his cards after the game got started. Quotes like "Even if they come up with an offer, the owner doesn't have to except it", among others, set the tone that the league was behind Kroenke's plan.

I think the ace that was played was Paul Allen. He hadn't attended an owners meeting in 4 years but showed up to support Stan.

i hate to say it, but i told you so..rams were always a "done deal"

and now i believe the chargers put on a big dog and pony show, AND ACCEPT STANS OFFER..(sucks, i know)

and not only that, but the raiders get "welfared" back to oakland...
