It would be eating crow if they had to change something before the 5 year.

The question I have is if they tweak, what does that mean? Lets say all they do is change the font and lose the gradient? Is that a full blown change that means the full mechanism: or can Goodell okay that with a single email reply?

Personally? I doubt they change anything.

The Yahoo poll is up to 28,000 votes and it's still holding at 53/47. A slight majority like them. But that still means almost half the people don't like them.

Accepting one's fate and being forced to accept them is not a ringing endorsement.

53%. Okay. So. Rams won't change, like I said.

IMO they will just wait for those numbers to go up across time.

And good for them. I like the new helmet and uniform. I personally feel more of the resistant folk will come to see it that way too.

No one ever said they were going to change. That has nothing to do with it.

And, like I said, accepting the fact that you're stuck with something and being forced to deal with it isn't the same as actually liking it. Ferreting out components that are acceptable isn't the same as liking the whole.

Then we agree on that point anyway. Though I was responding to someone who was saying how they could change-- quote, "I’m saying is the rule is not set in stone by some legal framework. All it would take is eating some crow and asking the commissioner to waive the 5 year rule”. .In response to that I basically said it's moot, I don't think they will change. If you're also saying they probably won't, then again we agree.

Hope and expectations are two different things. I "hope" they burn all of this crap and come up with something better. I "expect" that they will champion this mess because anything else would be admitting a mistake.

Obviously, they aren't going to admit that this re-branding was anything more than split and divisive. It was not a success. They chose to take on this challenge when they didn't really have to. There was no real push for new uniforms and IMO, a bigger call to return to the iconic '73-'99's.

Now, we're stuck with less than 10% of the fans truly loving the new one's and varying degrees of "I can deal with it", "It's not as bad as I expected", "I guess it'll grow on me" and "I hate it".

But it’s an open poll right? How many voting are Rams fans? If the Hawks and 9ers did a rebrand, how favorable would be to them?
All this talk is silly anyway. The only thing that will matter is their popularity and how much stuff they sell. I guarantee if they sell next to zero jerseys, they would not last long. But another guarantee; the extreme majority of people who are Rams fans will buy something like this in the next year. New fans will too.
How many old fans will it actually push away and loose? Some, but not that much I bet.
They could be better for sure. Time will tell if it was right. For now, back to the bickering as there is no other sports on. Except I did find Social Distancing Corn Hole in ESPN the other day...

Everyone has their own views. Mine is that they did not make a mistake. So I assume they don't think they did either.

Aren't "most" and "majority" the same thing? :lol2:

Anyway, it depends on what poll you are looking at and what the question is. There is no way it is liked by most or the majority.

2 types of polls...

1) Do you like the new UNI? : YES or NO

2) Do you think the new uni is BETTER than the throwbacks? (which is what they tried to improve but failed) YES or NO
