Agreed. I'd love to hear what Spanos thinks after that meeting..

Grubman speaks out with some pretty damaging St Lou news now all of the pro Spanos lackeys start chirping.

Coincidence? I don't think so.

I don't see how making any of this public will make a difference about anything. What good does it do with regard to there decision?
The fan public is only watching.

Perhaps the NFL likes all the press coverage. Most of this seems out of control and heartless so why are they making it public again?

Oh I believe the "public perception" means a great deal to the NFL.

I wouldn't sell that aspect short. There are ongoing ramifications regarding how this all plays out.

If that is true (and likely is) then the spin down on all of this is setting ESK up to be the bad guy if he takes the legal course of action and fights them in court.

Stan has been to quiet compared to Spanos and Davis. Stan is building his legal team and pointing them toward Park Ave, NY.

I don't know if people are giving enough attention to the fact that behind the scenes the NFL is working on getting something worked out for the Raiders in Oakland.

Remove Davis from the equation, whatchu got Dean Spanos? lol

My best advice, don't be swayed by everything you read or hear.

On the other hand, Kroenke can simply say, "I'm moving my team into my stadium in L.A. Either make it work or fight me. It's your call, but i'm moving."

Will it come to that? Would Stan do it?

We're gonna find out soon enough...

That's our best hope
Im not too confident however. From what I understand, that's not his way

He's as much as said he won't. Things have changed though and perhaps he was just posturing nice then. I've also read plenty of article that depict ESK as a very tough adversary and one who loves to fight in court.

"The legal theory that Kroenke would want to invoke if he wanted to challenge the league’s right to block his relocation would be an anti-trust theory. That’s what Al Davis used back in the early 1980s. The anti-trust laws are complex, very ambiguous and there’s a lot of room for courts to maneuver so they can reach the results they want to reach" according to Gary R. Roberts, Dean Emeritus & Bepko Professor of Law at the Indiana University McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.

From an earlier article.. Meanwhile, back in St. Louis, civic leaders have already countered with a $985 million stadium project, a deal they hope is rich enough to persuade, or force, Kroenke to stay home. Even so, most NFL insiders consider Kroenke the clear front-runner in the race to win the West. "The only thing that's moved the ball in LA has been Stan," Mark Fabiani, the Chargers' special counsel on stadium issues, told ESPN.com recently. "He changed the world."

Discussing the fallout after a failed business partnership, Kroenke and Walters had a falling-out in 1985 and spent the next few years in a bitter court battle over how to divide the company's holdings... "He was focused, bright, no-nonsense and disciplined -- that's a good word to describe Stan: disciplined," says Stull. "Stan was not one of those guys who would be slogging along, joking around, just happy to finish. He was very, very competitive and always at the front at the end of our runs."

Dallas owner Jerry Jones has already said that Kroenke doesn't need the NFL's permission to move the Rams. It's an opinion backed by federal antitrust laws and argued in court by Al Davis... Kroenke could follow that lead... in the past, and with far less at stake, Kroenke has never shied away from a fight in court. For the time being, Kroenke's camp is saying he won't go against the NFL's wishes."

Who knows. I guess we will have to see how many guys are really lining up against him.

Well, if he takes the NFL to court, the other owners won't like him...oh wait, apparently they don't like him already. GO ROGUE, BABY!!!!!!!!

If Kroenke threatens to go rouge, I think that would change things, but at this point it doesn't seem he wants to go that route. Perhaps he's saving it, but I think at this point he's losing the political battle, and that could cost him his goal.
