Reminds me an awful lot of Sofi/Inglewood including stadium placement and ponds. The water feature that is nice looking in LA at Sofi is silly in Chicago.

First impressions? Not much tailgating space which is one of the rips on Soldier Field.

The water feature at SOFI was a city requirement. Additionally, that lake and the surrounding area is designated a public city park “forever”. Meaning even after they build Kroenke dream of shopping district, restaurants, theatres, and even some upscale townhouses.

Because it’s a public city park, parking around the lake is available and free almost always— unless an event is occurring. And before/after sundown.

Which make Chicago adding the water feature even more proof that the Bears just copied and pasted. IIRC that end of the Arlington Heights racetrack complex was the stables, practice track and kind of dumpy housing for jockeys. There's no reason for pretty ponds.

I also have to chuckle at them leaving the Metra (heavy trains, no the EL) so that people have to walk through the entertainment complex to get to the stadium.

In other news, I am shocked they're putting Bermuda turf down at Soldier Field. Further proof they know they won't be playing in the playoffs.

Au contraire mon frère... playing on closely cropped dormant Bermuda grass in cold weather creates a most inhospitable situation for visitors that maybe are not accustomed to it.

Or, the Bears are just incompetent.

Maybe both.

My front yard is Bermuda and it 's brown/dormant by December. There are some cool weather Bermuda variants, but not Chicago.

$800 million from the Titans owners. The remaining $1.6 billion of public money will come from the state of Tennessee and an increase in the Nashville hotel tax.

Well, that's just wrong.

Nashville is exploding. Problem is they're going to be Austin Texas 2.0 given their highways and lack of public transport outside of a bare bone bus system.

I honestly think they'll be like Minnesota or Detroit. They'll get their one Super Bowl gift and never be in the rotation.
