I see B&W actually is meant to be blue and white! So we agree, it seems.

I also agree the segmented horns are terrible and awful and we should go with big fat horns that make the players look old and slow because I wish it were the 1970s. Those were such great years for the Rams franchise, let's re-live those mystical years of numerous playoff and NFC Championship flops

Big fat horns make them look more like badass RAMS, rather than goats. I don't agree that it makes them look slow, but if it does, then good as the other teams will be caught off guard.

Well, yeah, the numerous ways the 70s RAMS figured out a way to lose playoff games were unequaled.

I think many of you who long for those unis of yesterday aren't grasping how today's uniforms are designed with the design of the pads and helmets in mind.

In the 70s the thinking was, put enough armor on the players to make them a walking Sherman tank, and the Rams unis in the 70s looked good with that. Unfortunately, that also resulted in players treating their bodies like freaking missiles and annihilating their brains and bodies.

Nowadays the thinking has changed, make the pads smaller, better science around how impacts are absorbed through the pad or helmet and into the body. If you put the 70s unis on today's Rams with the pads and helmets today's NFL players wear, they would look, actually, kind of terrible.

I do Lb t get all the discourse on the horns. I don’t think the fat horns would look good at all these days. They had their place in time. The modern horns, while segmented and also a “wave”, look pretty badass to me. We still have the sickest unis in the NFL

Good enough for me. Change is constant.

I'm all for the cheetah look over the rhino look!! Besides, change is good. It's even natural.

Yep, exactly. Put this alongside the image of Whitworth on the Super Bowl podium .. night and day with the pads.

Think this was talked about earlier in this thread but the Buccaneers "officially" unveiled their throwback creamsicle uniforms and the dates they'd be used.

It is genuinely shocking how well these uniforms age, but I think it is from the standpoint of ironic "Yes someone actually thought this was good branding for a football team." With a dash of what you see from New England fans, like if they own a single Pat Patriot logo'ed item it proves how wonderfully loyal they are.
