St. Loser Fan wrote:I was simply quoting (can't find it to link now) that said the NFL wants Sunday Ticket to be $X per month/$Y per season extra and that having it as a loss leader included as part of a regular package was the "devaluing the product". It's about perception.

Wasn't doubting you just adding my 2 cents.

Just listened to last week's Marchand and Ourand (before Apple pulled out) and they were saying it has to do with the Networks and all the money they pay. If Sunday Ticket is too cheap, it could hurt them plus i think there's an issue with blacking out local games which gives the networks exclusive rights and Apple may not have wanted to do that.

I would think there could be a way to make the money/ratings/ad rates right for everyone. If if i'm watching on Sunday Ticket, i'm still seeing the network broadcast including the the commercials they make all their money from...

Well with Apple out now - looks like it is between Amazon and Google YouTube?

I really don't care who it is, but I wish they would get it done so we would know.

Here's a tweet:

My brother has had YoutTube TV for at least a year now and he's pretty happy with it.

I've been think i might go that way once DTV no longer has Sunday Ticket and this would certainly make that choice easier...

At some point these huge player contracts have to get paid. Ticket prices are already close to where they are unaffordable for many people. Sheesh...this would be a bad deal but I'm sure I'd ante up no matter what the price.

The way the cap is, salaries are driven by revenue not the other way around.

Supposedly the home market thing was another sticking point for Apple as they didn’t want blackouts.

Guess I’m back to the regular CBS morning game Fox afternoon. It was good while it lasted NFL fantasy zone. It’s gonna suck that I gotta have YouTube TV to steam NFL.

Full disclosure I have Amazon prime. I pay for it. The streaming sucks. Buffering issues. I like Hulu I have that pay for that. But will not be paying for YouTube TV. Saw YouTube TV advertising during the NBA finals. Guess they are going the NFL route.
