I understand the sentiment, but I'm not sure what the alternative is. Not be a fan?

I'll accept the garbage.

We just won the Super Bowl. Those garbage uniforms are looking pretty good!

So what was the temperament when they switched the informs in STL to the Millennium colors?
What about when the moved from the White and Blues to the Ferigamos?

No social media back then so probably harder to compare but still curious.

I wasn’t born for the blues. And remember just not caring as much back then when they were in STL.

I think some of us in St. Louis viewed the new colors as way to break ties with the LA history. Similar to:
-Dallas Stars changing colors a few seasons after their move from Minnesota
-Lakers going from powder blue > purple and gold after a few years in LA
-Memphis Grizzlies finally dropping the old Vancouver colors after a few seasons

Those are some of my favorite examples of how funny team branding can be when a team moves to a new city.

Dallas missed an opportunity by not going from the name "North Stars" to "Lone Stars."

The Lakers play in a city that really isn't know for its lakes.

There are no grizzly bears in Tennessee.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go listen to some nice Mormon jazz from Utah.

Well, sure, there likely were grizzlies in a far greater range a long time ago.

But when was there a hurricane in Tulsa, much less a golden one? 8-)

hah yes! funny story 'bout the name.. in the early 1920's Tulsa got new gold & black unis.. the Coach wanted a new slogan, so he chose (appropriately enough) the "Tulsa Golden Tornadoes".. however, they soon discovered that Georgia Tech had called themselves "Golden Tornadoes" in 1917, before flipping to "YellowJackets".. so, hence the hasty switch to "Tulsa Golden Hurricanes" back in the roaring 20's .. love that sh** :D

Somebody, maybe Aeneas says they remember the MNF guys making fun of the Feragamos when they first came out and i remember a friend saying they looked like college uniforms but i wasn't really paying attention back then so no opinion of my own.

I didn't like the St. Louis duds but i also wan't particularly upset about it. Why change uniforms after winning the SB? Bad juju but good business, strike when the iron is hot, get more product out there. It made sense. The St. Louis uniforms got worse and worse to me over time but then again so did the team. I don't remember being bothered by them in 2001...
