Good signing. I feel more comfortable at PK now. Guys like Maher and Havrsik missing easy kicks will not be tolerated.

I wanted the Rams to sign this guy months ago. It's about time. I'm sure Crosby has lost some distance on his leg, but his consistency should still be there.

(In fact, I've wondered if the Packers might regret moving on from Crosby. Anders Carlson has been anything but consistent for them.)

Ya. We don’t need to even be attempting anything outside of 45-48 yds. Either punt or try to convert on 4th depending on the situation. Hell, if our last chance is a 60 yarder to win/tie, let Evans tee one up from that distance.

Yeah I dunno, def a little concerned about how much distance he has left, can he be reliable in the 43-48 range?

Man I hope the Rams learned their lesson this past season, (unless you are the cowboys) accurate, length and consistency for a kicker dont grow on trees.

I feel picking up Crosby is a good move.

It sounds like to me for right now,

since the coaching staff is holding on the Havrisik on the 53,

maybe their thinking is bringing in Crosby to kick on game day,

and teach Havisik on the proper way to kick at the same time while Crosby is here.

Weird thing is... from what I heard Havrisik is better at the long kicks (guess it power vs precision) than the gimmes. We'll see moving forward how many kickers we retain for the team. Its not a position where you carry a bunch of guys. Glad to Mason onboard tho. +1 and 30 yarders should be a no brainer and with Mason it will be.

Even if we only kick from 40 in as long as he’s accurate. Punting is not always a bad idea. Neither is going for it on 4th and 3 or less. A lot of ways to make the best decision. Crosby just needs to be deadly accurate and make 95%+ of his kicks.
