Farr works for the Rams, he says what they want him to say.

Let everyone think its just motivation, not that Goff isn't any good, thats better for trade value.

Hard to see how Farr's comments offset what McVay and Snead have been saying, value wise.

Maybe McVay and Snead have decided this is what Goff needs to get him where they want him to be, seems pretty far fetched but none of this makes a ton of sense so why not...

As for an open QB competition, if you don't know that Goff is your guy after 4 years, he's not your guy.

Unless this is all part of some bizarre motivational ploy which, again, seems absurdly far fetched...

After reading all these comments about Goff.....and making a few of my own......the one that makes the most sense is "you have too many turnovers....it cost us the postseason last year.....and if not for AD and that great defense....it would have cost us the postseason this year.....sooooooo, how about a pay cut?"

If I were Goff I would be fine with that with conditions....
1. Whatever cap savings you get from my restructure, you invest in the OL
2. If I get you back to a SB AND win it, I want a raise or unrestricted free agency

If that ain't in the new deal, cut me now.

Yup. Totally agree. Absurdly far fetched is an appropriate description.

The idea that Wolford is a realistic option as a starter doesn’t make sense to me.

Weren't you calling for Wolford to start over Goff just a few weeks ago? I apologize if I am wrong. I have read many of your Goff threads/posts but not all of them...there are too many to keep up with. :lol2:

Nope, not me. Wolford is a nice backup.

My apologies then Sir.

I agree with you, he might be an ok backup. I won't even say "nice" backup since we only saw 4 1/3 quarters of play from him and that was all that impressive.

No apology needed. Honest mistake, and no big deal.

We are all trying to figure out what the Rams are doing so there is conjecture all over the place.

This is my other far fetched possible explanation for what's going on: McVay really likes Wolford, more than any of us realize.

Of course the more likely explanation seems to be: Whatever is going on, they're not handling it very well.

I still have a lot of faith in McVay and Snead so, as always, we'll just have to see how this plays out...
