B. He’s better, albeit older, than most the QBs making more than him. C. He believes he has more than 1 year left in him.

All of the above cause problems for the Rams. But, they control his rights. So this could get messy and the Rams could get rid of him for less than they should torrid themselves of the problems. But then what?

Yep, it makes sense. Accidental meeting? Just like Cabo. It worked last time it might again. If he's going to play strictly for a big payday I think the Raiders can accommodate him with the amount of cap they have and just add 2 void years to the deal to spread it over 4 years makes him affordable.

Sounds like the Vikings are going to roll the dice with JJ McCarthy and have the #4 QB in the division by a wide margin. IMO that slams their door shut for at least two maybe 3 years. Their fans aren't going to like it. Jared and the Lions are laughing.

You have to wonder if they will take Kupp as well. That would make them truly competitive in the AFCW in terms of offense. Their pass defense wasn't bad but their run defense was terrible. Shore that up and the OL and they could be competitive in their division.

With Mahomes, Herbert, and Nix in the division they need a proven QB and WR to be competitive. They should draft a QB then they have two years to develop him behind Stafford.

I don't agree.

The Raiders have over $100 million in salary cap space. Stafford would give their fans more to cheer about than any Raiders quarterback in the past few decades.

The only problem with that is he's under contract with the Rams for the next 2 years....

For Stafford, he’d receive a respectable paycheck each week this season instead of an insulting one. Plus, he has four children, and while the Rams charge for childcare during home games, the Raiders provide it for free.

On the other hand, Stafford has another chance for a Ring with McVay as his coach.

The Rams don't have to do anything, but for respect of future players, they have to do something soon.

The situation seems to be, shit's getting real and Stafford needs to decided if he's really willing to go to a new team. Also sounds like we could know as soon as tomorrow...

I don't see how a trade would get done,

especially with the cap hit we would take.

We have him under contract for the next two years.

My understanding is that he is looking for at least 50mil guarantee per year!

Give him his guarantee for this year and have another negotiation for next year!

If a trade would take place,

I'm sure the RAMs would be asking for a ramson to compensate the cap it.

Plus, if they try to trade Kupp & J. Jackson, that's another cap hit.

Plus we need cap space to sign a LT,

unless we get a ramson trade from the Raiders like their 1st, 2nd & 3rd,

and draft the top LT from the get-go.

But I just don't see it happening trading MS.

We were too close to beating the Eagles and going to the Championship round.

This close and then trading MS would be a big mistake.

Jourdain talking about how the Rams got to where they are with Stafford. Very interesting. She alludes to but doesn't mention him by name that Kroenke is more involved in the directional planning than most know. After all he's writing the checks.

It sounds like if they get a decent proposal the Rams will take it.
