After ten straight winning seasons and annual playoff appearances and maybe a championship or two, all without a first round pick, pundits will still be saying "The Rams are sacrificing the future to win now. The window will be closed in two years". :lol2:

I actually won those tickets on a local radio trivia contest. It was a MNF game. I have been watching the Lions since the 70's when I moved(under great duress) from Socal to Detroit. Matthew Stafford is the REAL DEAL. He will make the Rams better. The Lions franchise, for lack of a better word, SUCKS and always has. The best back the NFL has ever seen walked away from the game(in his prime) rather than to play another minute for that miserable organization. The naysayers will be shocked at how well this works out and how records are useless in evaluating this trade.

I went to the RAMS-Lions game two years ago in Detroit. Fun game. They were calling him Pat Statford at that time. I like their stadium. Much nicer than the Silverdome where I saw the GSOT smoke the Lions in 2001. I did the soul shake with London Fletcher after the game.

I was there too. I thought you seemed familiar.

That 2001 Lions game, (MNF right?) is one of my favorites.

Assuming i'm remembering right, isn't that the one where they asked Martz after the game why we threw so much and he said, "because it's fun."

I so wish i had a clip of that...

FWIW, 49ers play-by-play man, Greg Papa, thinks the RAMS did real well. Papa was never a Goff fan and thought the only weakness in the RAMS was the QB. Pretty interesting radio spot from Papa, as he broke the whole RAM team down position by position. The only other weakness he saw was the ST coach that was recently reassigned.

I'm eager to see what's next.

If the Rams can restructure Stafford's contracts and a few others, allowing us to retain key guys (Floyd, JJ, Williams, Hill), and we can get a decent contribution from the draft class...well... we were only a couple of steps from the Super Bowl this year, so...

Hope springs eternal.

Yep, that was the game. 36-0, if I remember correctly.
