You know, when I was growing up, #12 was THE number for a QB to wear if he was a badass. Terry Bradshaw, Joe Namath, Bob Griese, Roger Staubach, etc. But boy, have the Rams not done that number proud. Along with the aforementioned Tony Banks, there have been some really lousy QB's to wear that number for the Rams:

C'mon Den, i posted Rubley, like 40 minutes ago.

He reminds me of Austin Davis in that i just can't understand how any professional football people can think either of them is NFL QB material. Sure i could be wrong about Davis, i'm just some guy with an opinion but still, i don't see it in Davis, never saw it in Rubley.

I also posted Tony Banks and i think there's a parallel between him and Rubley: Two coaches Knox and Vermeil who really didn't seem to be able to tell who could play QB in the league and who couldn't. Both had great qualities as HC but a nose for QB's wasn't one of them.

Sorry Gentlemen did not look at the previous page....Vermeil did okay with Jaworski in Philly and Trent Green with the Chiefs so I would give him the edge over Chuck Knox, however, Vermeil was Knox special team coach for one year until he got hired at UCLA in 1974.

Quite a few #11's to choose from but Jim "General Blade" Everett was my guy. In the Super Bowl era(1966 - present) no one started more games at QB for the Rams than ol' Jimmy. Still holds the record for most passing yards for the Rams. Was glad Bulger didn't break that record.
