if goff is sent packing, you have to wonder about this seemingly new approach to the game, sign guys to big contracts only to deal them a year or two later and take a big cap hit.

trying to picture the excitement meter if it's announced stafford will replace goff in 2021, i know what my excitement meter would read.

You still feeling sorry for all those guys who expect Goff to be traded?

Maybe holding your breath is warranted at this point. :lol2:

Nope.

But there will be plenty of talk.

Well, yeah, that’s what we do here. Talk. Lots of talk.

Some talk like Goff isn’t going anywhere.

Others talk like Goff is going somewhere else.

And others play both sides against the middle.

I agree with the observation with Gurley everything was fine and then, bam!!, he's gone, while with Goff it's "who knows?"; "right now he's the QB".....it's almost like they want Goff to know, a), they're not happy with his inconsistent performances, b) McVay is a bit chapped because Goff said, 'I was prepared to play (vs Seattle), I expected to play, I wanted to play but he's the coach and he has to make that decision', or c), "we know we have problems on the O line but just take this bullet for us because we fucked up".

I also agree that if we're being completely honest about the offense, it's been a myriad of things, including Goff, the O line and the playcalling, so it does sort of seem like they're throwing him under the bus, but why?

Right now, after 4 years of this team being relevant, I don't know what to expect. Would it shock me if they signed somebody to replace him? Yeah. Would it shock me if they traded him? Yeah. Which is why I'm not sure what to expect.

While many are putting on their tin foil hats, how about this? McVay and Snead are doing LaFleur a solid by being vague about Goff as a Ram. How would Rodgers feel if he tapped out after this year and LaFleur traded for Goff and won the Superbowl? I said "tin foil hat stuff". :D

For those that are complaining about Goff,,,

Who lead the RAMs into 3 playoff season and 1 SB...

With four winning season...

How many QBs can say that in his first five seasons??? Less than 10 QB without even looking it up....

Once again,,,
Fix the OL with a Center & Guard and get an over the top WR....
And we will be right on top again,,,

Even if you tried to get another QB
We will still need to fix those problems I listed for the offense...

Personally I feel that Kromer did a great job with the tools he had to work with...

But it still not up to par with other teams OL such as GB, TB, NO, KC, Bills, Pitt, Browns, Ravens, Indy, Tenn, Raiders,

As I stated in the past, our two weakest point, is in the middle of the OL,,, a Center & Guard...

If we can get two studs in the middle, we will be set....

Couldn’t agree more. But, perhaps there are things we don’t know that the coaches and personnel people do?? That’s all I can figure with all this “evaluation” and “he’s the QB go now” talk.

With the way McVay and Snead are acting by not giving Goff a positive note... by saying he is our QB period, just to shut up the media from talking crap,,,

That makes me appreciate Goff more because he is not playing their game and complaining, in which you have other QBs in this league that are complaining and want to be traded...

Just to add,,,

After listening to Les Snead in his interview today....

I believe they are not stating anything about any players position because of salary cap....

I believe with the drop in the salary cap for next year....

Les Snead mention possibly some veteran taking pay cuts....

I feel they are probably trying to renegotiated Goff's contract...

That will be the battle, especially with Goff's agent...

Plus having the 2nd most wins the past four years...

So that's why they are being so evasive,,, IMO...

But the MSM are being like vultures...... :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:
