A chance to buy the LA Dodgers isn't something a sports team collector like Stan could pass up.
It was also a shot across the bow and clearly a signal of his willingness to relocate to LA if cross ownership rules could get sorted out.

I don't recall and really need to look up what the final vote was but feeling lazy so not gonna but I thought the final vote was like 2 or 4 against which I figure two of those votes naturally had to be Spanos and Davis.

I thought the final vote was 30-2. This was after they went to a secret vote where no one knows who voted for what. I'm not sure but I seem to remember something about KC's owner Hunt being one of the 2 votes. If there's any truth to that then either Davis or Spanos voted for it too. I kinda got this feeling Davis wasn't all in like Spanos was for the Carson site.

I thought the other “No” was the owner of the Dolphins?

Here’s a theory that it was the Brown, the Bengals owner.

NFL owners in Houston on Tuesday voted 30-2 in favor of the Rams' bid to relocate to Los Angeles starting next season.

As a result of an anonymous voting system - one that Peter King reports helped Stan Kroenke's Inglewood bid immensely - it is not known which two owners voted against the Rams' proposal.

However, sources told Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio that, along with Raiders' owner Mark Davis, the owner who voted "no" was likely Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown.

Davis voting against the Inglewood proposal makes sense; he supported his joint proposal with Chargers' owner Dean Spanos for a stadium in Carson. But why on earth would Brown? Having a team (or two teams) in LA will increase revenue for the league as a whole, and increased revenue is split roughly evenly among the 32 teams. What was Brown's rationale?

And more speculation it was Davis and Spanos.

I don’t member hearing it was Miami - but that’s interesting.

Its possible. Either way it means one of Davis or Spanos voted for the Rams venue. Which would be strange. Like I said, a lot of Raider fans seem to think Davis was not all in with Spanos.

I seem to remember something about the final secret vote having only occurred after Goodell met privately with Spanos and Davis. Goodell wanted a unanimous vote, and he convinced Spanos and Davis that Carson was over, and for the good of the league it was best to vote for Inglewood and the Rams.

That's how I remember it, anyway. I remember reading the Brown rumors being one of the two no votes.
