of course warner demonstrated greatness before he broke down, sam not so much.

I think Keenum is the Vikings QB in 2018 unless he plays really, really bad in the playoffs.
The reality is that the QB room is not crowded at all in Minny, its actually quite the opposite. I think they franchise tag Case, and try to work out a deal with TB. Now if Case were to get injured/benched and either Bradford or Bridgewater were to come on and lead the team to victory and a SB run, then it would for sure get interesting....

I can't see Bradford remaining in the mix there. Actually, if Keenum takes them to the big game you have to wonder if Bridgewater will be content sitting after his miraculous rehab on his leg. TB is 4 years younger, hopefully he has someone on his side encouraging him to take is slow.

dilfer was picked up by the ravens to backup banks in 2000, and ended up taking over the starting job, booking a 7-1 record in the process, as the ravens won the super behind the league's best defense - yet the ravens dumped dilfer after the season. what will the vikes do with keenum, win or lose?

I love that Fisher isn't even getting interest as a DC. I guess it's still possible that one of the new HC hires could have interest in him as a DC, but I doubt it.

Chicago could be looking at a McVay type turnaround for sure. Hiestand is the real deal

Because he's not a DC, he hasn't been one for 25 years.
It's HC or nothing, and right now nothing has a huge lead

Has a long time HC, say over 15 years, ever peeled back and taken a coordinator job?

I know it's been about 25 years since he's been a DC. He said he wants to get back into coaching. I don't think he said he's only interested in being a HC. If he's going to have any chance at all of somehow becoming a HC again, he's going to have to find a way to get an opportunity as a DC first.

The difference there is that Dilfer was a pretty pedestrian quarterback, even in the year the Ravens won it. Keenum has performed very well overall, some have even said at "MVP levels." There have to be people who believe he can continue to do that. Probably a lot will depend on his performance in the playoffs.
