I don’t relate to the “I’m just happy to be here” crowd. It’s really hard to get to the Super Bowl and there are no guarantees you make it back. The Rams future looks bright but who knows what happens? I’m sure most teams that get here figure they will make multiple appearances with their group. But as we all know, it often doesn’t happen. Win it this time!

That said, win or lose, I will appreciate the incredible rise our Rams have made over the past two seasons.

Just thinking back to 2 years ago, when a team that hadn’t had a winning record came to town and went 4-12. The highlight of that season was the Red Hot Chili Peppers (oh yeah, and tailgating).

It’s a big opportunity and there are no guarantees of returning, but just seeing the Rams in the SB is awesome. House money all the way.

(Meant to say hadn’t had a winning record since 2003)

Even if it's house money, it's still a lot of money and i really want to win it...

I will save the retrospective till after the game.

The Rams have had a great season and have a great future. I didn't think they'd win the NFCCG and had a hard time even seeing them win a playoff game after Philly game. Yeah it's gravy, I want them to fucking win though. You don't take this for granted.

Clearly, everyone wants the Rams to win.

I guess I just don't fear the prospect of coming up short as much as I did in, say... 2001.

But, make no mistake, I can taste a Championship and want it BADLY!

As an aside, I'm actually more anxious right now about Saturday night's HOF announcement. I REALLY want Isaac Bruce to finally get in!

Bruce is a lock, IMO.

All the stars are aligned for him.

He's the only WR on the list, the Rams are in the SB, and he is clearly deserving.

I can't relate to the "house money" sentiment at all. I haven't been able to relate to the "just happy to have a winning team" stuff that I've heard from a lot of you guys here all season. I understand it but just can't relate to it.

I wish I was there with you guys. Have that sort of contentment that the outcome isn't that important. But I just can't look past the fact that we are in the superbowl and no matter how much you wish it teams don't make it every year (unless you're the Pats). Smart talented teams with smart people in charge fall short every year so when you do make it you gotta take it all like Philly did last year. Who knows when we'll be back.

I also can't take the big picture view of this obviously successful season until Monday. I am too in the moment right now. It's like losing a SuperBowl is more painful than not making the SuperBowl.

Agreed. But A. It is still just a game and we aren't actually playing. B. You'll be hammered, lol.
