Let me guess, this is going to force ESK to go back to St. Louis and he'll be so distraught that he'll drop 600-700 million and lock himself into a 30 year lease.

No they believe he will agree to the horrible St. Louis deal and be allowed to buy the Broncos when Bowlen kicks the bucket and since the St. Louis lease deal is so good billionaires will be lining up to purchase the Rams from him

Richardson is one owner out of 32 who has always been pro Spanos.

Yes he has plus he brokered the deal with the Raiders and Chargers so absolutely no surprise. Richardson should never have been part of the LA committee.

A snippet from Faulconer..

By BARRY WILNER AP Pro Football Writer
NEW YORK

Oakland, San Diego and St. Louis are making their pitches to save their teams from moving to Los Angeles.

Officials from those three cities are speaking to the league's Los Angeles, stadium and finance committees — all three of which play some role in a potential relocation. Oakland spoke first, and was followed by San Diego and then St. Louis.

The Raiders and Chargers have combined on a project in Carson, California, that would cost about $1.78 billion if approved by three-fourths of the 32 owners. Rams owner Stan Kroenke is pushing a rival project in nearby Inglewood.

No votes are scheduled for Wednesday, and the league has set a special meeting in Dallas on Dec. 2 at which substantial steps could come, including moving up from January the deadline for application to relocate. Most NFL owners have reserved judgment on which plan they favor.

Mayor Kevin Faulconer represented San Diego.

"Most importantly the owners got to hear the strong commitment politically and in the community to get this done in San Diego," Faulconer said about getting the Chargers a new facility and keeping them in San Diego.

Faulconer said he felt the discussions were "robust."

"Everyone in that room was fully engaged," Faulconer said. "We talked a lot about the momentum we have in San Diego."

While representatives from the three cities outline plans for potential new stadiums — St. Louis already has a state-backed project costing about $1 billion — the league seriously contemplates a return to Los Angeles for the first time in more than two decades. Coincidentally, the Rams and Raiders were the teams that left the LA area after the 1994 season.

The Raiders-Chargers proposal added some firepower Wednesday by announcing that Disney CEO Bob Iger has agreed to lead the effort to build the stadium should NFL owners approve the teams' move.

Iger is set to serve under a five-year contract as non-executive chairman of Carson Holdings LLC, the joint venture to build a stadium on a 168-acre site.

No BoA vote until Dec.
Rumor the NFL might be pushing the vote back instead of up. What the heck is happening? Are these announcements connected?
I wish LA had this many bail outs in "94.

So if Iger is a part owner and repping 2 teams, isn't that like joining the 2 separate businesses? Not only that, the lender in LA is the same one in StL. Something smells. If Carsonogen get's the nod, (I still doubt it) Kroenke should fight them since he is being double teamed with the help of the NFL.

EDIT. I see Ripper posed this same question in the other thread. My question is, what is specifically wrong with Iger owning part of one of the 2 teams and how does that give grounds for an anti-trust ?

Statements from NFL Presentations in New York

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon and Stadium Task Force leads Dave Peacock and Bob Blitz today presented the St. Louis stadium plan to NFL team owners who serve the league’s Los Angeles Opportunities, Stadium and Finance committees.

The presentation took place at the NFL’s league office in New York City. Joining Gov. Nixon, Peacock and Blitz were task force consultants Dan Barrett of Barrett Sports Group, Greg Carey of Goldman Sachs and Bill Johnson of HOK.

Here are statements this evening from Dave and Bob:

DAVE PEACOCK

I doubt our presentation could have gone much better. The owners and league officials in the meeting were generous with their time and thoughts on our stadium proposal, and for that we are extremely appreciative. As anticipated, we were asked a lot of good questions, and there is no question we had the right team in the room to respond on behalf of St. Louis.

BOB BLITZ

My key takeaway from today is the commitment and professionalism of everyone affiliated with this effort is paying off. We now need to continue our progress on the path we started on a year ago.
