good QB's make good throw after good throw...

jared goff is actually better than good...

the more the talking heads talk shit, the more they look like the fools they are..

goff just keeps making huge plays, and the idiots that called him a bust, can't stop choking on their hefty servings of crow...

go rams

Well not that "system qb" is necessarily a bad word, most players are system players but its easily to see who's doing the lions share of the work.

How did Goff look when defensive coordinators outsmarted McVay? Goff didn't look so good.

Minny, Jax, Wash and Atlanta games are a good case study.

Especially the Minny game, Zimmer had an adjustment or fake adjustment for every McVay move.

Here is the tale of the tape.

https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/p ... efficiency

11. LOS ANGELES RAMS – 21.0 PERCENT
Red zone passing scores: 12

Red zone rushing scores: 9

Jared Goff and the high-octane Rams offense has been a pretty good unit between the 20s, hitting scores from deep down the field, but they have also had more than their fair share of attempts in the red zone. They are one of just three teams to have 100-plus red zone plays, and they have converted those into 21 touchdowns, a dozen thrown by Jared Goff. Todd Gurley’s resurgence continues across the board, including down inside the 20.

other great case studies from last season?

- goff's 110.9 qb rating against the 5th best defense and defending super bowl champs (rivers? 0 tds and an 80.0 qb rating against the eagles).

- brady's 59.5 and 70.0 qb rating days, both losses, against the fins and chiefs

- brees' 77.9 qb rating, 2 pick loss to the lions.

- wentz's 83.0, 84.2, 86.2 qb rating days against the chiefs, niners and seahawks.

- rivers' 37.2 qb rating day that included 0 tds and 3 picks against the chiefs. his 49.2 qb rating day, his 76.0, and 79.5 qb ratings days.

we can go and on....

honestly, not sure where you're coming from, or what your schtick is, are you that butt sore from the rams sending watkins packing? seems that you like to marginalize the rams at every turn (mcvay didn't know how to use sammy, goff is cog who sucks against good competition), it's really peculiar. especially considering the job mcvay did in year one, and the tremendous progress goff made in his second year. very peculiar indeed.

And you LOVE to move the chess pieces around don't you?

Again with the what OTHER qb's do/did. Groan

My schtick? I just take a bit more convincing than most that a player has arrived.

If you wanna call that a schtick...fine!

Oh and I never marry myself to a player. Never

When evaluating players do I prefer one player over another? YES ABSOLUTELY!

it's called context.

:shock2: :D :shock2:

watkins has never come close to living up to the hype or his draft position, and now finds himself on his 3rd team in 5 years, yet he's a bona fide stud as far as you're concerned, no convincing needed there, he's just had the misfortune of playing for coaches who didn't know how to use him, qbs who didn't know how to throw to him, cooks who didn't know how to prepare his porridge, ha ha... meanwhile, back at the ranch, mcvay lit it up his first year on the job, and goff rocked as he led the rams to the second most offensive points in the league, but they're two big question marks.

honestly dude.

Is being on your 3rd team in 5 years a badge of honor?

IF so let's decorate Brandin Cooks cuz he's also on his 3rd team in 5 years.

The difference tho is TWO teams gave Cooks up! :lol2:

Ask Robert Woods IF your qb and system make a difference in not only the perception but your performance!

Honestly dude? Amen

The McVay/Goff offense is 13-4 and has averaged 30+ points (with Goff throwing 30 TD passes and maintaining a 100+ passer rating).

Those who can’t seem to enjoy this and, instead, feel compelled to try to tear down these accomplishments...all I can say is...have you ever been happy? Seriously...I’m concerned. This type of contrived negativity is bizarre.

No one is doing any of that.
