I guess we'll see first hand on Sunday. I haven't seen enough of JG to know if we should be worried or not. W/O Donald in his face he will likely be comfortable and have a solid day. So let's see how good he can be.

At 26 he has the NFL experience. 6′ 2″ 225 he's not huge but has enough size to shake off arm tackles and he's relatively fast. SF just got fortunate. Thatnks BB and I hope more than ever that TB goes down and exposes this move as fool hearted.

How is he against the blitz and under pressure? How many times has he been hit/sacked?, how is he on obvious passing downs and behind the sticks? Thats where the Rams D will have him more often than not.

I might be in the minority but I want JG to be solid. With the Rams back home in LA, the league benefits from a re-established rivalry between these two franchises. It lost it's luster when they moved to STL but LA v SF has always been a historic match-up and is much better when both teams are fighting for post season glory. Plus it makes it much sweeter if we get the opportunity to knock them out of playoff run.
Its going to be a fun ride watching these two teams battle and if they both keep trending upwards, I feel some truly epic games may be on our horizon. Games that will define what this rivalry truly was and is.

Not necessarily. Without Donald, Longacre, and maybe Barron, this is not the optimal Rams front 7.

I'm with you, Hop. Iron sharpens iron. The RAMS will have to stay sharp (FO, players, coaches) to make the division their own.

Yes, we Bay Area RAMMERS have to put with "49er glory", but it just makes beating them so much more satisfying. As for the current reincarnation of the niners, they did a solid job of beating the Jags. Jags didn't help themselves with, at least, two personal foul penalties to extend 49er drives. Also, niners had a pick-6.

Shame we can't go full bore with niners this weekend, but beat them with our alternates sure would make a statement to the Bay Area. If we lose, no one will care on Sunday night/Monday morning because our first playoff opponent will be known, and for the first time in "forever" RAM playoff football begins.

True, on paper it doesn't look like a pleasant Sunday. I'm hoping the game of emotion can carry our guys to victory.

Of course not the same. But Ebukam, possibly Quinn, Brockers, Westbrooks, Fox, Smart, and Walker we are still pretty damn good up front. Brockers especially will be a problem for the whiners me thinks. He has played very well this year. Littleton is a great blitzer as well.

I think Wade has schemed up some fun things to see. In fact, I think McVay has as well. They are probably going to have fun with this game and will be more unpredictable especially with the whiners having very little film to go off of with the new rotations and players.

Those players are good. Wade is good. But without those starters I named it's not the Rams defense. As it stands SF put up 44 points against a Jax defense that is 2nd in points and 3rd in yards. The Rams could win it but it would be something of an upset.

Absolutely yes, the Rams could win it. But it means slowing down a good offensive coach with a hot hand and at long last, a qb.

He's gonna cost them franchise money next year. The benefit they got out of that second was the audition to know.. "yeah, he's our guy".

Absolutely. They are going to have to pay Jimmy G......alot more than Jared G. is getting paid. Of course, when the time comes, we're gonna have to pay Jared G.

On Sunday's game....who cares if they win. It doesn't matter but what matters is the rest. Finally, after almost 15 years we can say "this game doesn't matter.....because next week is the playoffs".
