With our road record at 7-1 (technically 8-1 incl UK), is hosting a good thing?

BTW, someone needs to prevent Minny from playing a home Superbowl.

So if Carolina beats the Saints, the Vikings lose to the Bears (Never gonna happen) and the Rams lost to whoever they are playing (Definitely not going to happen) then Carolina would be the #2 seed, and the Rams would be #4?

I believe the Panthers can still get the #2 seed even if the Rams win. It would take a Panthers win against the Falcons and a Vikings and Saints loss. They beat the Saints twice and the Vikings.

I think in a 3 way tie though, Minnesota would get the #2 because they have a better conference record. In a tie with Carolina, Minny goes to #3 because they lot the head to head

You could be right. I think in a tie between 3 teams it goes to conference record. Since the Rams didn't play the Panthers.

Oh and I was wrong, the Saints beat the Panthers twice so they would need them to lose to win the division.

Regardless, it's not going to happen. I think all 4 favorites win this weekend (Panthers, Saints, Vikings and Rams).

The Eagles look more beatable than the Vikings but if the Rams end up #4 they will most likely play both on the road. If they finish #4 they are guaranteed 2 road games after the wildcard round. Get the #3 seed and they have a chance to host the NFC Championship in LA.

That's the key. The only way a #4 seed doesn't play all road games after the Wild Card round is if the #6 seed wins twice. That's happened before but who wants to be it'll happen again? Though.....if there ever was a year this would be it.

Would much rather play seahawks over Falcons.
At this moment, I Don't see seahawks beating us on their best day.

They beat Dallas despite only throwing for 93yds and Russell the leading rusher at a
pathetic 29yds.Dallas giving up 3 turnovers was the only reason seahawks won.

Ryan and Falcons are much more dangerous with good pass blocking giving up only 23
sacks,compared to Russell Wilson's 40 sacks and a #11 scoring D.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but for one week I will be pulling hard for
the seahawks and carolina.

Definitely glad we're resting our players, think it's the smart move since it's not really clear whether the 3 or 4 seed is the best one.

It seems to me, either way, the road to the SB probably goes through Minnesota.

If we win our first two playoff games and the other WC team wins two, we still have the NFC championship in L.A. so that's still a possibility, though unlikely.

Who's the best team to play? Probably Seattle since they're the most banged up but who knows?

Football is unpredictable...

Elvis, "It seems to me, either way, the road to the SB probably goes through Minnesota."

It certainly ends there. I think the Saints and us can beat the vikings. I don't think any of the other teams can.

I just hope we can get past the first round and see what happens next!
