What I find interesting is that there are fans with legitimately hurt feelings. You may have to take a step or two back away from the game if you're really upset with AD for what just transpired and will be carrying a grudge against our best player. LolWe are. I was as pissed as anybody. As pissed as some of the fans calling him a selfish, me-first jackass (that phrase being a compilation). Why? With a new head coach, new offensive coaches, new offensive players and a young quarterback, the problem of the 2012-16 Rams was being addressed. Comprehensively. We certainly didn't need the defense, clearly the best side of the ball the last 5 years, being screwed with a holdout of our best player on that side of the ball and subsequently screwing our chances to start off on the right foot. But, alas, he's back and we're 1-0. All is forgiven (for now) until he pulls a hamstring or tears a pect (and hopefully he won't do either of those things). Fickle? Damn straight we are. Especially fans who've been given very little to cheer about the last dozen or so years. Of course by the end of November or next year this will all be forgotten for the most part. Been following the horns since the Coliseum had a Roman playing there. I mistook the heading "deal for A. Donald" to mean "trade" for AD. But something is up I gotta believe. It just doesn't make sense for AD to risk a $60 million payout for a $120k game check. I wouldn't. Hard to know who to blame without knowing details of negotiations. But if I were to guess, AD's agent wants to make him a name for himself by establishing AD as the highest paid defensive player. And the Rams want a discount based on giving up two lower paid years which would preclude making him the highest paid. I'm just hoping that the fact he's reporting indicates they have reached a basic agreement with a signing to be announced before the game.
