No way.

The Rams new-uni's will pre-empt the new stadium.

Bank it.

It will be a way for the PR department to pivot an extra-season in the coliseum and goodwill for fans...

Easy decision here.

Better yet.

In the final year at the Coliseum they do a tribute and do an entire season of LA Rams Historical Replica Uni's.

I'm just not sure I can stand another year at the Coliseum. I may be out after this season.

No Doubt!

The Arena League Chargers playing in a 30,000 seat venue for 3 years....makes me laugh just a little.

Maybe Spanos will grow a pair and help build his own stadium in San Diego. The other owners have to be laughing at him like he's on the pony ride at the fair waiting until he reaches the height limit to get on the big rides.

Great observation. Kroenke probably loves doing that to Spanos.

I also believe Kroenke had a good idea that 2020 was the date all along.

This really isn't a shocker for me. I didn't expect them to get this done in 3 years rain or not.

When we discussed our tickets at the coliseum we discussed 1 or maybe 2 extra years as an entirely likely possibility.

I am just happy we were able to upgrade our seats out of the USC renovation zone.

We have great seats.

Our Rams in LA.

I have very little to complain about.

New stadium gets done when it gets done.

Totally agree. Doesn't bother me as long as they don't delay the uniform change. I don't think Demoff will delay them.

Better to have it done with time to spare rather than be scrambling like the Atlanta Falcons are right now.

Yeah, I understand this sentiment. But remember when the news about the stadium first came out, they were talking about being ready by the 2018 season. Then that got pushed back to 2019, when the relocation vote didn't take place until January 2016, when, according to reports at least, the Rams were ready for a decision sometime during the previous fall. There was talk that Kroenke was ready to break ground in December for a 2018 opening, and when December got pushed to January, the completion date on the stadium got pushed to 2019.

The way I see it, the real problem came when nothing happened at the site all of last year. After the relocation announcement in January, I fully expected the Rams to break ground and get going on the project, but that didn't happen. Maybe that was the FAA thing, but since everybody said that the FAA thing would get worked out (and it eventually did), I thought they could be working on the site in the meantime. But they didn't. They didn't really start work until November last year, and by then it's winter and they've really backed themselves into a corner with the schedule depending on good weather. Had they started in August, for example, they would have been depending on good weather in the fall, and it would have been clear sailing.

I understand that in the grand scheme of things it doesn't make that much difference, but it's disappointing. And OBTW, the Rams have shown a high degree of tone-deafness regarding the uniform changes. They wanted the new uniforms to coincide with the stadium, and it wouldn't surprise me a bit if that's what happens.

So let me get this right. A 2 month rain delay becomes a year long delay? Cutting it a bit close guys. I have a suspicion the delay was something that occurred earlier last year (FAA / incomplete plans / delayed permits) that kept them from starting to dig the hole sooner.
Or the contractors underestimated the excavation process and are already behind schedule they wanted to get out in front of it.

Seems ridiculous for an operation of this size to be that far off.

Chargers LOL. .

And yeah, they better roll out the new uni's in 2019 anyway. I mean the 3 year excuse won't work anymore.

EDIT: I see we are on the same page @rams74
