And I hate to say it, but seeing what they looked like in pre-season, I dont have very high hopes

Me neither. People say no need to worry its just preseason. But the last two seasons began very similar. Its not like the Rams have a history of being fine after a poor preseason. The offense looks anemic. If the defense isn't playing at an elite level they probably don't have much chance of winning.

Snack, you've known me for years, and I think Im a pretty positive poster coming out of pre-season. But I am totally on board with what you're saying.
I'm not in "doom and gloom, we're gonna suck" mode, but I dont see how there could be a level of confidence from what we saw. As bad as Schottenheimer was, we replaced him with nobody, we have all rookies on the o-line and a brand new QB. Our starting RB wont play for weeks and the back up is out week 1.

Easy to say pre-season doesnt mean anything for teams that are good, but for teams like us who's offense has sucked for a decade, a little success in pre would go a long way.

Kroenke bought the Nuggets (And Avalnche) in 2000 and hired George Karl in 2005

Rams the Legends live on wrote:Personally I would rather the Rams go alone. I think Stan has proved he can handle and be the answer for LA solely. He has beat his opposition soundly in all this. While others are still running around and trying to put out fires and have their PR men up front Peacock and Fabiani. The others approach is clear it was a attitude of we will cross that bridge when we get to it. Stan's approach was we will make sure there is a bridge when we get there to cross. So in my opinion he solely has shown he can handle the LA market and the market should be his solely.

What he said!! ^^

IMO, the Chargers would play 2nd fiddle to either the Rams or Raiders in LA as well,, I don't see why Spanos would want to put his team in that position.

But..but..Carmen Policy's poll said the Chargersand Raiders were more popular than the Rams in LA...maybe his poll only included relatives

Joe Sacco was hired by Kroenke and had one year left on his contract when he was fired.

So I guess we have concluded that he will fire a guy for under performing or other. Fish took a TERRIBLE team and has made it more respectable. Was he hired for his relocation acumen or his ability to turn a team into a solid football team. I think both. His offensive has been somewhat offensive for a number of reasons, some his fault and so not so much. Overall, I like coach Fisher. Looking forward to catching lightning in a bottle with Foles and at least one of the WR's. If this team moves the chains on O, I see 9-7 this year. Then let Fish shine in the moving van on the road to Cali.

"My take: Although the reports are speculative, they further emphasize that there’s no clear solution for a team relocating to Los Angeles, which is why it makes sense for the NFL to consider waiting another year for more clarity in the home markets".

Just another mans opinion but please be wrong. Another year of this will drive me nuts.

Agree. It would be just wrong to have the Rams fans in LA and STL, plus the Charger fans in SD and then the Raiders Oakland fans have to endure this for another season.

Oh, and now the Jag fans. :D

Well, I wouldn't say that it's JUST another mans opinion . . . it's another mans opinion based on what another person pulled out of their butt, and that other person is Bernie. That's gotta make it an extra special other mans opinion, no? Ok, maybe not. . . .

But seriously, I think all of your guys' opinions are better than an ESPNs guy's opinion based on Barney McLaxative . . .

Things seem pretty clear in StD -- no need to wait another year for "more clarity", unless you're desperately grasping at a fleeting dream.

Though its not outside the realm of possibility of Stan staying in the Ed one more year while the stadium in Inglewood is being built, too many small things point to the rams moving after this season. Giving notice to workers, cancelling or moving up contracts, notifying or giving notice to emloyees and private contractors , securing a temporary place to play (LA Coliseum), inquiring into local radio about carrying the games on radio. How else can you read that?
