i've watched him and he looks very poised and capable... re the defenses he's faced? i dunno, the rams were shut out in week 1 by a defense that gave up 40 offensive points in week 2... point is, sf doesn't seem to have a particularly good defense but they completely dominated the rams offense, meanwhile a rookie qb has led his offense to an average of 27.5 points per game....

Yes, exactly, but how is that Goff's fault? He didn't play, but it shows just how pathetic the Rams' offensive scheme is when they couldn't get into the red zone on MNF. Anyone who thinks Wentz would look this comfortable in Fisherball is deluding themselves.

He looked good last night, maybe not spectacular, a lot of dink and dump Andy Reid stuff but his long ball was effortless and accurate, had a few dropped balls (which everyone does). He does seem to like contact a little too much, gonna get himself hurt...

Yea, and my question of Wentz's game film that led to this response doesn't have anything to do with Goff or even the Rams really... It was more about Wentz being put in HOF by all the talking heads who seemingly haven't actually watched the game film...

I'm just saying a lot of Goff's perceived limitations are coaching based. This starts in the spring. I'm sure Wentz would be backing up Keenum right now, sure as hell he would be if he got hurt in the first preseason game like he did with Philly. That's Fisher, blind allegiance to inept coaches and players.

well those guys who claim they watch every play repeatedly, the pff gang, think he's the best qb through the first 2 weeks, altho i'm not a fan of the "grading"... that said, i'm not sure all of the talking heads are claiming wentz is ready for the hof, but when any qb leads his team to a 27.5 points per game average he's doing something right, at least from where i'm sitting....

i don't think anyone knows what goff will do once his number is finally called, least of all his coaches...

He looks pretty good, the game doesn't look too fast for him. On a side note, Prescott doesn't look out of place either and Brissett looks comfortable as well.
Like I've said ad nauseum, these kids are coming in to the NFL ready to play more than ever.
I do not make any assumptions that Wentz playing well has anything to do with Goff because I am certain that had roles been reversed we'd be raving about Goff while Wentz was riding the pine in LA

I'll take a different point of view for the sake of discussion. Wentz is playing like a man ,,, Goff still looks like a boy being coddled by Mama Jeff. I'm no expert on what is really going on but it seems to me waiting might have some merit.

I want to see our expensive shiny new toy as much as the next guy. This delayed start adds anticipation and perhaps more focus and scrutiny once he actually does play.

Meanwhile Keenum keeps making mistakes yhat I know Goff could make.
