You are right on that. My bad. Not the best example but does serve to underscore the faithfulness of your fanbase when you stay and don't move. Even if you can't.

There's a chance the Packers could have moved to Milwaukee right before Lombardi got there. Even crazier is there was a short period where Milwaukee made a run at an AFL franchise a few years later and right before the AFL-NFL merger.

Yes. And I don't know if they still do this, but as I recall, every year the Packers would play a home game or two in Milwaukee.

Two or three games up until the early 90's at the old "County" stadium the Brewers used to play at. An unpleasant place with a bad setup for football.

The Packers kind of did it because they didn't have interstate between Milwaukee and Green Bay until the early 1980s, so it was a chore for the majority Milwaukee fanbase to get to games. Like a 3, 4 or 5 hour drive: now it's less than 2.
