Wow, that was a sad thing to read this morning.

Truly one of the best, sad he’s gone.

Super disappointing for us fans but good for Aaron. He's got plenty of money, still has his health and got his Super Bowl victory. He can enjoy his family and the rest of his life. One of the all-time greats and we are all lucky he was a ram.

I truly thought he extended to take a run at another ring. Apparently he told the Rams before the start of FA. One of my faves of all time. Very sad but glad he went out on his terms and timeline.

Where do the Rams go next?? DL just became another need for sure.

Well this is a fine how do you do. AD's been the cornerstone of this defense for 10 years and the best there is. What it will be now is a huge question mark.

Of course we and the Rams new this was possible:

It's still shocking but there were indications this might be coming.

I appreciate there was some confusion as this story broke but a word to the wise: TurfShowTimes is not news...

That’s a ridiculous comment. If Aaron didn’t tell them how would they know? It’s not the Rams’ fault he retired. It’s still a free country (sorta).

point is WHEN did the Rams know. Today? 6 months ago? Right before FA period opened? I find it hard to buy that if Rams knew this a week ago they would not have been aggressive in the DL/EDGE/OLB market. I mean, its not like rushing the QB and putting pressure is important in todays game.....
