Peyton is talking to the Broncos. That's likely where he will go. I've had a feeling about McVay for the last half of the season. It didn't work and from what he said in August he was barely in anyway. Right now I'm feeling a little pissed. The team and the fans are/were all in with him and now this continued talk of his bailing? I say eff him. Yes it's his life, he owes Los Angeles nothing but we do deserve better than this roller coaster ride he has been taking us on. Let's face it. With or without him the Rams are in trouble for the next couple of years. Like D'marco said too many holes and no tools to fix them. The all in for '21 approach worked but the band wants their money.

But If so, they are on O more than D so getting a defensive minded coach would be smart.

MCV has a supermodel-esque wife. He is “Hollywood” a bit as well. A TV gig is far less demanding for a lot more money and he gets to be more of a star/personality than a coach who takes a back seat to star players.

Sadly, AD and possible Staff will likely walk as well. I don’t see Kupp retiring. You can’t replace an AD. But you can do what the Titans and Bills do and have a number of young, rising players and above average vets in a rotational front system. Having really good edge pressure will also lessen the blow if AD dips.

Losing Staff would be a serious blow. Signing Baker would be a drop off but not bad as a good bridge QB.

Also I can’t emphasize how much of a star I think Demeco Ryans is with the 49ers that defense is legit we can draft some good edge rushers. Hire a Wes Welker as offensive coordinator. He knows football.

I do know this. After the reports last year and the new shit this year, I'm growing tired quickly of the Brett-Favre-esk BS. Didn't Madden say "when you're thinking about retirement, you're already retired"? Yeah, he was talking about players and it meant once you're there (thinking) you're not here (playing) and so you're no good to your team mates or coach. Same could be said for coaches. Geez, maybe that's why the Rams didn't look ready to play the Bills?

I know this much. If he retires then in my mind he's a quitter, a wuss or an ego maniac. Or some combination of them. So go. Somebody will win the SB this year and next year and the year after. Sean McVay isn't the only guy who can do it. Hell, he's not even the only Rams coach to do it! If he stays....COMMIT and put the rumor mill to rest because it's extremely unproductive. For a lot of reasons.

If he quits now after this shitstorm year, we're better off. Find somebody else who's head is in the game. There will be another Rams head coach to win a Superbowl anyway. Why shouldn't there be?

Because denying the reports and demanding the discussion stop is an odd request.

The fact that this news made it all the way from LA to New York signals to me that McVay has talked to someone at one of the networks about a more relaxed broadcast job. Now he could have called them or they called him and either way he didn’t shut them down.

Having been on the front line of the Vermeil hasty “retirement” I don’t see the point of shutting this discussion down. We need to prepare ourselves for all possibilities.

I was signing off for the off-season until this came up. I won’t say eFF McVay but yeah, there’s the door IF he wants out. He’s done what even Vermeil could not do. 2 SB appearances and an LA Lombardi that stays in LA. It won’t work for Sean Payton and even though I believe we proved the depth we had all along but McVay had no faith in. Akers, Skowronek, Kyren Williams, Durant, Scott, McCutcheon, Powell, Tu Tu Atwell and plenty of depth on the OLine with Logan Bruss coming back, Troy Hill and Wagner staying on. Draft an OT and OLB and resign our own.

Now, if McVay leaves I can’t see Stafford and AD, maybe Kupp, returning and none of that bodes well for locking up Baker Mayfield with Rahim Morris as HC (see TB history). Sean Payton will be long gone before the Rams work out an exit for McVay and does Snead move on too?

As expected, it all hinges on McVay and his exit would likely cause Kronke to concede SoFi to the Chargers and hold the fire sale we all knew was coming if McVay ever left. McVay wanted a ring. He doesn’t want to grow old chasing the ghost of Bill Belichick. He wants to sit by the pool when he’s not collecting his cool 100 million on TV. What a scoundrel. lol.

Love the guy as our coach, but if he wants to be a diva and leak his desire to being a "talking head" for the NFL to Schrager and doesn't want to stay and see this thing through then just fucking leave.

He's a great coach but do you see guys like Andy Reid, Bill Belichick, John Harbaugh and Mike Tomlin talking about leaving? No, they're NFL head coaches through-and-through. Bill Cowher retired and then went into the media, but did not mentioned before retiring.

McVay is indeed a great HC but 6 years does not equal a long and illustrious career like Cowher, Walsh, Gibbs, Noll, Shula, Landry etc.....not even close.
