I have no idea how big or small the implications of this is but does make the rest of the season more interesting...

Some poster commented about wanting to combine Wolford and Perkins into 1 QB. Now you have that with a number of NFL wins under his belt.

Is he a long term answer at QB 2?
Is a Staff really considering retirement?
Can BM be salvaged and made into a legit #1
If he can be a #1, don’t compete against yourselves salary wise. Who else would sign this guy??

It’s a great signing. The guy is a gun slinger.

See this is why you pay Sean Mcvay all that money. I want to see what Sean Mcvay unlocks out of Baker.

Let’s be honest here guys. A lot of this is the coach. The guy won a Heisman with Lincoln Riley.

If Mcvay is so great fix this guy. Let’s see what our offense does with him.

This isn’t a short term thing. We always talk about the next well we’re not getting Bryce Young we’re not getting Caleb Williams. But we are getting a number one pick. Now let’s fix this guy and maybe we can have a franchise quarterback.

If he sits and learns from Matthew Stafford can he be the guy? I don’t even know if Staffy plays.? Sprained spine seems like something his wife Kelly won’t let him on the field for.

But if we fix this line get a competent running back with our receiver room we might have something.

Doesn’t it blow your mind that this guy is two seasons removed from beating the Steelers in Pittsburg winning Cleveland’s first playoff game and going head to head with Patrick Mahomes in the 4th quarter of the divisional game.

Gunslinger, 57.8% completion. Let’s make sure our O knows how to play D…

Also McVay has always seemed conservative and I think that’s what killed Goff’s mojo… I think he only wants his QB to make good throws and does not allow gunslinging. It seems even MS has slowed his gunslinging ways under McVay.

Mayfields throwing motion and speed is way better than Wolford and Perk, tho. That’s for sure.

At least it makes the rest of the season more interesting and could potentially lead to a compensatory draft pick.

Is there more to it?

Don't know...

I don't see him playing on Thursday,

Could be a backup for an emergency,

But thats about it,

To much of a playbook to learn in one day.

and if they dumb it down the playbook,

Then we really won't see much of what he can really do.
