Or maybe what they are saying about turf fields has some merit. Touring SOFI, I found the field surprisingly stiff. I thought there would be a good layer of rubber pellets under the grass, but it’s doesn’t feel that way walking around on it.

The Rams have been among the heathiest teams in the NFL for many years running, hard to think there's simple straight forward explanation for this rash of injuries.

I think it may be more of a "shit happens" scenario. And right now, shit is happening...

Well some have said they sucked. Based on the Buffalo game which is the only game they played together.

Starts on the O line:
Havenstein, Noteboom 6.....and as long as Hav stays healthy through the bye, he'll be leading the team with 7.
Shelton, Edwards and Jackson with 4.
Evans, Kolone with 2
Allen, Anchrum with 1 each

What's interesting is Anchrum was the #6 OL if you go by who was chosen to start after Allen's injury. So 1 of our starting 5 and the first/next man up totaled 1 start each. Jackson's first start was week 3. Evans week 4 and Kolone week 5. When we really think about it we're extremely lucky to be 3-3!!

Get healthy and we're right back in it.

They must use the bye week to revamp the offense to account for the fact that Stafford will have much less time to get passes off.

The reintroduction of the jet sweep was nice this week but realistically Stafford will be lucky to get 3 Mississippi to get throws off.

We don't know how good this years intended Oline was going to be and now we'll never know.

Besides everything else, the Rams are really suffering from these 2nd and 3rd stringers not knowing the offense well enough. They're not communicating, don't know their assignments. Stafford has to call protections with Kolone in there, etc.

It's a big problem but the Rams are trying to work through it.

Let me explain your confusion As I didn't make my point clear. I'm talking about earlier investments in better players who would not be the same guys. It's all just speculation anyway because who knows how they would have turned out. All we know is we weren't ready to play Buffalo and they killed our originallt intended 2022 line. I still miss the old lines from the seventies and eighties approach but have zero problems with the current regimes success.

They might also want to use the bye week to trade for some better OL, if available and if they can swing some deals. The depth, if there are anymore injuries, will get Stafford killed.

Though, with the number of lower leg (ankle, Achilles) injuries, sometimes I wonder if there is some form of footwear or brace that OL should be wearing to mitigate against this problem.

They make tee braces for ankles and of course that's what the tape is supposed to do. If we could come up with a better system we could retire..

I've got two kids with engineering degrees (albeit in electrical and computer science), so maybe they can come up with something!
