Hate to say it but that is spot on what I am seeing. He isnt quick or sudden doesn’t separate well. He is a possession receiver. Needs to be a #3. He was a replacement for Woods, not Beckham. A #2 with a coverage dictating #3 in VJ, an eventual #3 behind Kupp and Beckham, sharing time with VJ. He is NOTHING compared to Woods. Clearly they made the wrong decision trading Woods and signing A Rob. So far at least.

If all that is true (and I'm not disputing it), WTF was Snead/McVay's thinking? That would be like signing a RB who can't break tackles when you have an OL that can't run block well. Right now this move doesn't look like a bad decision, it looks like a terrible one. Is it possible these guys could have made such a grave error or is it something that is going to change?

The decision was made from a monetary standpoint. Pay as little for the most production possible. They knew Woody's price was about to rise so they were willing to take a little less production for a lot less money. Of course this isn't what happened. Beyond that how about some loyalty to a guy who laid it all out for the team?

Neither player is having a stellar season so far although RW's numbers look a little better.

It's a bit of apples to oranges as the quarterbacks are different and the systems are different but neither are lighting it up.

Through five weeks, it’s no longer a secret. The Los Angeles Rams have an offensive line problem. After a loss to the Dallas Cowboys in which the team once again allowed an insane pressure rate, it’s clear that Sean McVay and co. have their work cut out for them.

The offensive line has allowed 84 pressures which is the most through five weeks in the NFL. That number is the second-worst in the McVay-era, behind 2019’s 94. It’s also the most allowed by a single team in five weeks since the 2020 New York Giants. The team’s 84 pressures allowed in five weeks is tied for the 10th most since 2006.

Robinson is making more than Woods. Rams guaranteed Robinson $30.7 mil out of his $46.5 mil contract.

And people forget but before Woods got hurt last year, there were a lot of questions about why he wasn't getting more targets and how he fit into the offense with Stafford.

I wonder if they make this move had they known McClutch’s ability/potential?? Sam type of possession guy but faster, quicker and more tenacious. Oh, and a shit ton cheaper.

Have to see it agains real NFL players not in the preseason to know if what I think I see in him is real.

We don't have a real time clue if Lance McCutcheon can compete... Allen Robinson dominated in the league he plays in so.......

He isn’t dominating for the Rams. Maybe it’s all on the OL, maybe no chemistry with Staff. Could it hurt to work McClutch into the game plan a little? Perhaps it makes no sense as we are still trying to work Tutu in. Whatever the case, the Rams Receiving corps needs to be more diverse and threatening to defenses at all layers - beyond Kupp and Higs. I don’t care who the other pieces end up being. Just figure it out MCV. IF pass pro can get shored up, having 6 WRs that are viable options at any time makes that offense pretty diverse. And they are all different. That is a nice rotation to dial up quality match ups. We go empty a lot. Imagine Kupp Higs Tutu VJ and McClutch. That is a corp who threaten every area of the defense/field.

I know it's different but OBJ didn't contribute right away and as McVay says, there are a lot of moving parts so i'm not ready to bail on ARob just yet...
