I enjoyed it up until that 2000 playoffs loss.

That being the Saints first ever playoff win was particularly galling but any good rivalry includes a fair amount of pain...

I was at the game and it was rough. Saints fans were acting like Raiders or Eagles fans towards us. Cursing, threatening etc even though we were sitting on our hands. It continued as we left and quickly walked back to the hotel to change out of Rams gear under “orders” from a New Orleans police officer.

Yeah my wife is from New Orleans but i'm not saying i'm a fan, i'm saying i miss them as a division rival just like i'd miss the Niners if they were taken out of our division.

It was a good rivalry during my formative years as a fan. Atlanta, on the other hand, eh, don't really care...

For sure. NO & ATL were definitely
on our radar, , part of our youth. It sounds like you could have had a Carville / Matlin type household on gamedays back then if.
I'm sure the NRC defensive play / non-call made for interesting conversation a few years back. . :shock2:

i remember watching Bobby Hebert just shred our D (Anaheim days).. i also remember their LB's (Pat Swilling, Sam Mills "da field mouse", Ricky Jackson, Vaughan Johnson).. seriously, i would just watch them beat us up.. may never be a better group of "ball hawks" imho
