Would he take a team friendly number? I doubt it. It could cripple the franchise into the new stadium. They will want momentum going into Inglewood. I don't think Peyton lasts that long. Peyton doesn't seem like the type to hang around and be embarrassed by diminished skills and abilities ala Bert and Broadway Joe.

Blockbuster - Stafford.

Stafford would be awesome. That is my new favorite idea.

And, still draft a QB in first.

They have to draft a QB regardless. Should be best available in round 1.

I don't think this would be a Namath-like situation. Peyton Manning is the greatest of all time at running a modern NFL offense. A past-his-prime Manning is worlds better than our present options. Sign him. He'd definitely be a draw for a couple years and I think he can take us to the playoffs.

Welcome aboard Timlan, one of the original AOE.

It's been so long i've forgotten, who were the rest of the Axis?

He looks done to me and I think he's arguably the greatest QB to ever play. Just grab a young guy you like and go from there. Also, I highly doubt he wants to be in the NFC and face the possibility of playing his brother in a game other than the Super Bowl. He'd also want a boatload of cash cause he's Peyton Manning, pass.

Thanks Elvis. I haven't posted much on Rams message boards the last decade. The move back to LA has invigorated me.

The only AOE member I remember is Kobe Ram. Man, hard to believe that's been around 14 years ago on the board that became Ram Stalk.

What was it called before it was Ramstalk? What does AOE stand for?

We were referring to the Rams Talk board at the STL Post-Dispatch site, which was a great board during the glory years of 1999-2001. Then there were so many trolls who tried to get into your personal life if you disagreed with them, that we called the board Ram Stalk. The board's decline coincided with the Rams' decline. Around April 2005 many of us left and formed Real Rams Fans.

AOE stood for "Axis of Evil" which was a derogatory nickname given by the trolls to the solid posters on the board. We wore it as a badge of honor.

Ah, the old days.

Manning looks good so far. Not an uograde to Keenum??
Anyone who thinks that is joking, right?

Seriously doubt he ends up a Ram. But he makes us a legit playoff contender immediately if he does come here.
