The tenant deal would be for relative pennies, their cost would be relo fee, which they'd make back in team valuation. I think douche bag's fear is that the Faiders will take the tenant deal with Stan no matter what. That Oakland is so screwed, they'll offer nothing in the next year or two. Douche bag's nightmare is the Rams/Faiders in LA and they're stuck in SD even in a new expensive stadium that they paid a lot for.

Well, if both teams move it's $1.1B more for the NFL. Not sure where either team gets that bread from, however.

I don't think the Ralo fee to SD is that much. Actually, I think Davis got a deal in pulling out of LA.

Spanos doesn't want the Raiders in LA in that beautiful venue and them stuck in SD still unsure if they could get a new stadium built.

The Rams and Raiders in LA would suck the life out of any SD team, even the Chargers, especially grappling for new digs.

Spanos is banking on the Rams continuing to be a bad team on the field under Kroenke. And that's not a bad bet, IMO. I'm not convinced Kroenke knows how to put a winning football team on the field or even cares enough about that. I was waiting to hear Kroenke say he was going to bring a championship to LA with the Rams, but he never did. That's not lost on Spanos or the NFL. And I think Spanos believes his best shot now after losing the big game off the field is to beat Kroenke on the field.

IMO, we are lucky that the Chargers are moving in cause if they didn't the Raiders would next year for sure. And if the Raiders won in LA they would steal Kroenke's lunch.

Personally, this is the way I prefer it. Time for Kroenke to show that he can put a winner on the field. If he can't, then I say, let him embarrass himself cause he would deserve it.

I agree it's better for us, but all of the marketing and focus group numbers were in single-digits for the Chargers in LA. So while staying in SD may not be a great option, especially if they don't have new digs, I can't imagine it would be worse than moving to LA.

Seems to me all of the Raiders fans will drive down to SD to attend the game, so Chargers won't convert any LA based Raiders fans. Question is, how many of the SD based Charger fans will start attending Raider games versus driving to Inglewood.

I still don't believe this is going to happen.

The timing of this announcement has me believing it is actually going to happen with the Chargers. I mean they have a year so why not try and get er done this year in SD and then announce at the end of next season if the vote fails. They could still block the Raiders then. During the year something might happen in Oakland too. Seems like he's jumping the gun.

The Raiders going to San Diego, a smaller market with as many funding questions, make absolutely no sense except to bluff the Chargers in to staying in SD.

Spanos must be banking on it being a bluff because it would be a complete risk for Spanos to give up his fan base and for Davis to assume he could get a deal done and snatch the now watered down remaining So Cal fan base in LA & San Diego.
The Chargers are going to short out and the Raiders are the ones who will be lost,, not the arc.

Think about the Clippers and Lakers right now. Thats what the Chargers are thinking. Only they think the Rams will be a losing team perennially and if they can be a playoff team they can do well in LA.

You guys need to be more critical of the Rams performance. They have been terrible to watch and they are losers. We are all hoping that changes based on blind faith.

Can the Chargers ink a deal with the Rams now, but still stay in SD this season in hopes of using this as leverage to get the downtown stadium in SD?
