St. Louis Rams Meet With Cleveland Browns Off. Coordinator John DeFilippo

Yes, Cleveland Browns Offensive Coordinator John DeFilippo who oversaw Cleveland's 25th-ranked offense in yardage is meeting with the Rams today. After submitting a request to interview him last week, he offers the Rams' offense a glimmer of hope after finishing dead last in the NFL in yardage in 2015.

DeFilippo has been in NFL circles for a decade with four QB coaching stints preceding his time in Cleveland as the head offensive coach. DeFilippo has worked with such luminary QBs as the ever-reliable Eli Manning, promising young starlet JaMarcus Russell, "Mr. Buttfumble" Mark Sanchez and QB/WR/? Terrelle Pryor.

The Rams fired Offensive Coordinator Frank Cignetti, Jr., mid-season and recently let five more coaches go including three on the offensive side. No word on why Fisher is looking to replace interim OC Rob Boras. Cignetti, ironically, interviewed for the Browns' OC vacancy in January before being promoted from QB Coach to OC himself.

Really starting to dislike TST and Bleacher Report. They just can't help themselves and get little bits of negativity and insults towards the Rams in every thing they do.

Tide is turning now in the Golden State and once the Rams start winning combined with the NFL Campus that ESK is building I'm betting we get looked upon in a positive light on NFL Network like the damn Patriots on ESPN.

NOOOOOOOOO

The only time Chow did anything was at USC when he had a huge talent advantage over his competition.

Mike Martz anyone?

No, that shipped has sailed...I actually would be fine with John DeFilippo.

After that article, Sammy had 2 knee injuries and RGIII had one that killed his redskin tenure.
I'd have to think he wouldn't go there again...
RGIII is the one who wouldn't "go there" with Shanahan. RGIII wants to be a pocket passer but Shanahan knows how to get something out of him...which is running.

As far as Bradford, there's a lot that has gone on and I don't know if Shanahan would currently want him. But he's a FA and the Rams need a QB. If one adds Shanny to that mix...who knows?

Better chance at Peyton Manning (not that I would want that either)

Can you really think that anything is NEVER going to happen considering what just happened?

I'm just going to assume that the Rams get Martz and lure Warner out of retirement until it doesn't happen! ;)

I think there's almost no chance of it happening but I would take Peyton for a year if he came in as a kind of player/coach and worked with a young guy and helped prepare him for down the road. I know Mannion was a coach's son and he could be ripe for that kind of thing. I have no idea, however, if he's got the talent to be a top notch NFL QB.
