When Clay Matthews, Jr. came to the Rams, he was 33 and had registered only 11 sacks in his final 30 games with the Packers. He then had 8 sacks in 13 games with the Rams.

Leonard Floyd had 18.5 sacks in 54 games with the Bears. He has 17 sacks in 24 games with the Rams.

Dante Fowler, Jr., has had 19 sacks in 58 games with Jacksonville and Atlanta, and had 13.5 in 24 games with the Rams.

This is the AARON DONALD EFFECT!

Can't wait to see how that works with Von Miller.

I like the trade but do not love it. Its not like we were struggling to get sacks. I believe we are leading the league in that department. Does it make us a more feared D? Yes but I am still worried about our CB depth and level of play outside of #5. Maybe the thought is that we do not need great DB's if the QB is on his ass or running for his life. One thing is for sure, being a Rams fan is never dull near the trade deadline.

Agreed there a lot of questions about Miller (attitude, especially.) But its AD effect + Floyd, etc.

More importantly, what did we give up? They (Denver) paid the bulk of his salary. We gave up picks... so yea, we're screwed in the upcoming draft. That's not much downside to this trade considering what we really end up getting from drafts..

If Miller gets immediately hurt and/or ends up creating a leaky hole in our D, that's the risk.

I started whole new thread about the draft. But for those that don't want to go over there:

Miller is having a good year so far. He was the September AFC player of the month. He is a future HOF Superbowl Champion that will bring that leadership and experience to an already extremely talented and disciplined Defense. Miller doesn't have to be anything but a role player in this defense. He knows this is AD and Ramsey's squad. The fact that Denver is basically paying his salary for this season is great. We still have CAP room to maneuver if needed. Maybe there is a CB out there looking for a ring.

QFTOS: NFCW OPPONENTS AFTER VON MILLER TRADE: SPECIAL EDITION

SF
This bullsh!t going around the media (And J-Ward) about the Rams being able to keep everyone just isn't true.
They have lost Brockers, Gurley, Dante Fowler, Corey Littleton, Joyner, Saffold, Marcus Peters, Brandin Cooks, hell Sammy Watkins too. People have terrible memory.

wonderful... Rams get Von Miller now

Lynch still sleeping.

HOW???!?!?!

How do the Rams and Cards have the unlimited money and assets to keep acquiring these guys?

How can it be that the DeSean Jacksons, DeAndre Hopkins, Von Miller, JJ Watt, Jamal Adams,... go into the NFC West for bargains and Lynch is sleeping?

Salary cap!!! WHAT f**kIN SALARY CAP!!!!

NINERS HAVE NO MONEY or DRAFT ammo.
It sucks but it is what it is. In hindsight, the Trey pick was stupid .

The Rams have no first round picks and got the best defensive player in the history of the Denver franchise. damn Broncos have paper hands.

On the bright side...LA is scared of our game in 2 weeks and trying to add help

Cocky f**ks splashing the pot

So next year the Rams have a 5th round pick and a 7th round pick, and the year after that a 2, 3 and 5.
They're screwed long term
.

Funny how we keep saying this every year. Meanwhile John Lynch has his thumb up his ass.

What. The. f**k.

that's ridiculous!

SEATTLE
Um…….. Not good for the Hawks. They keep loading up. DAMN!

Oh, well, maybe Geno, can be permanent QB so Russ won’t take anymore hits and get injured from the Rams…lol

AZ
4.5 sacks this year so for low round picks a pretty good move for the Rams.

And now the've fixed their pass rush. Crap.

That hurts to see it happen with the Cardinals in need after losing JJ Watt.

Big move!

Damn that sucks - you would have thought he would have wanted to come play for VJ

dang! Hate to see him go to the Rams.

Great move by them that came out of nowhere

All I can is that I’m glad we played & beat them once already. Real tough luck for SF.

Per Schefter as part of the trade the Broncos are paying 9 million of the remaining 9,7... wtf?

It makes the Ram's better for sure, but it's not a tipping point.

Stupid move by Elway

Rams will win the division. Better roster and more depth
