How long ago was that ... 12 years ago? I still remember how awesome that wine was... Anyone that has ever read a post or two of mine knows that if I didn't honestly like the wine, I'd say it sucked. I am brutally honest and politically combative.

It is (finally) well established among my peers that Okanagan produces world class wine, most somms in the U.S. have only read about them, and I am envied because I am one of the few in the U.S. that has actually had a bottle or two from your near-by town.

How does a U.S. citizen get a bottle of Okangan Pinot Noir in the U.S.? Can't be purchased retail. Can't blame Canada's high export taxes, can't blame Trump's high import taxes. It has to be smuggled. Because the wine is so good that the Canadians consume every drop they can get their hands on.

A few trade journals have complained about the impossibility of having Okanagan wine in the U.S. ... I always speak up with an "e-mail to the editor" explaining that we can't assume that the Canadians are ignorant and unappreciative of the world class quality wine they produce.

Pinotfiles that have never had a wine from Okanagan are missing out.

he got JJ and Kupp in the 3rd round in 17.. get two guys equal to that? You've *improved* the roster over last year, imo.

the talent level in this year's draft is such that it should be easy to find a couple of successful 3rd round picks that produce at a higher level. Yes, the draft will make the Rams a better team.

I like Snead's eye for talent ... sadly though, other teams will also be reaping of the pleathera of better-than-normal talent.

But if that held true every year, the standings would never change....right? I think Snead has proven he's got an eye for talent.....or the scouting dept.....or the franchise in general. That makes a difference when 'every team should reap those rewards'.

I can't wait because we don't know which direction they are going. Some are sure the OL will get a high pick. Some are sure we're going to get an Edge player early. Still others are sure we're going to get a WR and a RB. Maybe Snead satisfies everyone with the first 4 picks?

Sure you can. The key to having that setup is you have to draft and develop well, constantly churning the lower half of the roster. A lot of teams have to do that anyway (the churning). What Jimmy G going to cost the niners after 2022, possibly even before???? They either have to pay him or find somebody new.

Armstead's money (6M in 2020) goes near AD land the next few years......12.5 mil next year, 20.0Mil in 2022, 21.7 in 2023 and 23.3 in 2024. You have to pay your big stars or they'll go elsewhere.

In 2021 the Rams will have 4 guys (+ Ramsey) at 10M or more per year (81.8 + #20)
SF will have 7 guys at 10M + (108.4 M)
Seattle will have 5 guys (88.1M)

It's cyclical.

Ramsey, Kupp , JJ and Hill will need to be paid in 2021 if they are to stay Rams.

Mahomes is the MVP of the league and it isnt close. Basically Mahomes contract is going to be HUGE, he has all the leverage.

Not to mention, his will be the first big deal under the new CBA. It will look ridiculous compared to past contracts but I bet the percentages will level out.

Not to mention, Mahommes is a guy that can carry a team. Most QB's don't fall into that category. This isn't Cousins just being the next man up.

I'm thinking Kupp and Ramsey are locks. I love JJ... but they've been willing to let safeties move out, we'll see.

Hill would be nice on a reasonable deal, otherwise we'll see Williams or Long out there in 21.

yep I agree, if JJ returns to form, showing no ill affects from the injury I would do my best to sign him as long the numbers are somewhat reasonable. I like to see them keep Hill as well you need a few good corners, but again price will probably dictate that.

NOTA BENE: The above is presented Tongue-In-Cheek.....but even the staunchest Demoff/Pastoors/Snead supporters have to admit that Kroenke's ThreeNumbersGuys kinda shat the bed for 2020, eh!

2020 season hasn't happened yet. How can we be so sure its a foregone conclusion?
