Agreed. Fassel's been the best and most consistent St coach for at least 5 years. Unless he's being promoted to a better position on another team he's absolutely staying with the Rams.

Wade's a tough one. I just feel like the weakness in his defense has been pretty obvious and continues to go unfixed. Add to the how erratic and inconsistent it can be and I can totally see the desire to look for a replacement. But who's out there who's better?

I will say I am on board with bringing in a new OC. Maybe someone out of college/uni coaching. Someone who will challenge McVay and maybe even give him a not so gentle nudge to wake up when he gets his blinders on.

It's going to be a very intersting offseason.

Yeah, I want Wade to go, and us to run 4-3...but IN AN EVEN BIGGER PICTURE, frickin' all of our coaches are "cool" or "chill". I want a fiery coach to run our D. I want McVay to stop taking all of the blame and start to have chippy conversations on the sidelines. Why does Goff not set his feet properly on all throws? Why are his reads so inconsistent? Why does Gurley cruise out of bounds after a ten yard gain?---why no cutback runs he used to excel in?
Pampering Gurley and Goff has led to both of their declining achievements...while they make elite money.
I totally believe in McVay, but he has to stop being their friend so much, and asserting his authority on what, exactly he wants done. Football is an emotional sport, and I believe that our "even keeled" coaching staff has caused many of the aberration games we suffer from due to a more "laidback" prep for many of our games.

I’m curious as to how Hammond thinks the defense got better? In 7 losses they gave up an average of 32 offensive ppg. 3 games over 40 ppg.

McVay was not happy with Bones and the fake punt yesterday and showed it.

I was happy McVay showed his ass. I think this is one of the things we need.

I'm glad he spoke up, but I was surprised McV wasnt aware they were going to do that. Especially where the ball was and distance...

That was pretty interesting, wonder if we'll hear more about it.

There are some situations (i think) where if you get a certain look it's an automatic fake, maybe that's what happened? Maybe someone made a mistake?

Will we ever know?
