Richardson covering his ass after the Iger revelation? "Look I'm trying to help Stan, too" or double downing on screwing Stan and helping Dean, hence giving Stan more legal firepower?

I'm speculating here, but this stuff wouldn't surprise me.

Maybe it's as simple as leaking a story that will turn out not to be accurate to help the aldermen pass the stadium bill in today's vote?

What you're hearing from Vinny via Twitter is the league doesn't even know about the extra 100mill lol.

That means Godell doesn't know.

Does this mean Jerry Richardson has gone rouge?

Vinny's argument is the committee is doing what they can to present the best opportunity for the NFL. Where that logic fails is that it's doing it at the benefit of one stadium plan only, Carson. It's not objective at all. Oh, hey, lets just bring in the Disney CEO to work with Carson. Now let's go and work with the St. Louis task force and sweeten the pot so we can increase the likelihood of a proposal getting passed on the govt level. Again, this helps Carson.

There is nothing that is in the best interests of Kroenke. Also, there is no proof that they're helping San Diego or Oakland. That's where the collusion lies. I assume there are lawyers that will make this case better than me.

I agree.

The bottom line? Inglewood doesn't need any help ;)

I generally agree with Roggin, but over the past month or so, he's become way too reactionary. I'm sure comments like this is at least partially away to get more people to listen to the show. The last time he made a comment like this, the news ended up being meaningless.

As this stadium drama is nearing the end, Fred is trying to milk it for every last drop of ratings.

Fred has always been part wanna-be showman and part reporter. The showman side is a little hard to bear.

Lately there's been a lot more of that and a lot less reporting.

But it makes sense. Everyone is covering this story now. Whatever edge Fred might have had before is probably gone...

Fred with his own mouth has said numerous times that when they talk NFL and relocation the ratings spike up high. He said NFL is king.

In a related story I only listen to Fred when he talks relocation. As soon as he starts talking Lakers and Kings (which I'm a fan of both teams) I stop listening.

Nice, and same here.

When they first started, 980 mostly did Clipper and NFL relocation, for me it was a nice break from the never ending Kobe Bryant and Dodgers talk on the other stations.

But now, they sure do talk about Kobe and The Dodgers a lot...
