It’s not the score, it’s what was on the field. Man that was a lot of rust on both sides.

Defenses played great on TNF and the old school numpties who’s brains can’t comprehend anything other than what they saw their dad’s do jump at the chance to make it about lack of pre-season action. Colinsworth had a good cry about it at least 3 times. Jeeezzzz. We desperately need fresh blood in football commentary. Also didn’t help that one of the QBs out there was Trubisky.

Holding out your main players from meaningless pre-season games is 1000% the right move. But noooo what about the rust!!!

How many teams mimicked McVay?

My answer to pissed off Bears fans tonight is the same as it will be to any other fans whose coaches copy McVay.

Rams starters played no preseason games last year and went 8-0. It’s not the plan. It’s your team.

I also know Nagy isn’t McVay and Trubinsky isn’t Goff. And last night was just one game. All I’m say is let’s not expect crisp football this weekend.

I don't recall ever seeing in my lifetime "crisp" football week #1, be it college or pro.
There was an old adage that basically said to the effect that the biggest improvement teams make is between week 1 and 2

I did enjoy the over enthusiastic cheering from the Bears fans after their new kicker made the field goal.

Not shocking to me. The Panthers have talent and are tough at home, and there is somewhat of a "clean slate" mindset for Game 1.

I'm still taking the Rams and giving the (original) points, but that's me! 8-)
