Peacock is smart, at the last minute he puts the state in even more depth. Nixon could give 0 fucks bc he's about to leave office next year and he's probably an NFL fan. Nixon and the task force played this brilliantly.

I've done some work in Cleveland and saw how politics works there, from behind the scenes, and it's pretty disgusting. I really didn't realize StL was this bad as well.

So many good people in that area suffering financially, who could benefit from the money these guys want to pump into a stadium. I guess the good news is that the NFL is moving anyway, so the deal probably doesn't get done.

The NFL will probably save STL from themselves. Not because they care about the people in STL, but because it's in the NFLs best interest to get out of STL.

Funny how capitalism saves corrupt government sometimes.

My .02 opinion is that Peacock could give 2 shits if the Rams stay in St Lou as long as he looks like the hero. He's in the ultimate win/win
On the other hand, he knows that the stadium doesnt get built with Kroenke so he may as well ue as much perfume and lipstick as he can to get the NFL to approve his plan
If Stan cant move, I'm sure they expect him to kick in double what they need so he can have his own stadium and take some of the fugazy money out of play

One idiot on another site was reporting in the LA thread that Peacock was voted man of the year in some city in Missouri like it was relevant to relocation and the NFL hehehe.

It's been 3 against one the whole time yet Kroenke always seemed to be one step ahead. OAK, STL and SD are all trying to block this. When GF moved out of LA her destination was a downgrade so no war. This is unprecedented.

I spoke with my best buddy / drummer who has resided in New England for the last 20 years. (He's a huge Pat's fan) He called me last night to tell me that I had been right all along. The Rams (his former favorite team) are all over the news there as the team that is relocating. He travels around the country a lot in his business and says he hears that most everywhere he goes.
When I reminded him of the Carson Spanos BS he said that's still going on? Haven't heard that anywhere.

Now none of that means anything really, except that it could be there is a bit of the national perspective siding with common sense.
I wear a new LA Rams sweatshirt or tee shirt almost every day. I'm constantly being asked by strangers are they coming back? We don't want the Chargers .
So here, there and everywhere the people seem to sense Rams to LA. Yet the owners keep giving Spanos and StL all the rope in the world. ???

No offense (not a fisher joke) but I hope they both hang themselves with it.

It actually makes it much harder since they will have to issue new bonds for the shortfall from the city along with 200 to 300 additional cost that the NFL says the stadium will cost. All of which can't be done from the proposed bond extension.
