The task force is stepping in and giving permission to the Rams (and the NFL) to play a game in London in 2016 as long as a 30 year lease is signed and a new stadium agreed upon? This is comical. That's equivalent to Mayor Butts stepping in and issuing this statement. Step away Peacock, you have no authority here. by Rams the Legends live on 9 years 7 months ago Total posts: 1990 Joined: Aug 26 2015 Colorado Springs Pro Bowl Re: Rams to Play in London in 2016 POST #22 Hacksaw wrote:The St. Louis NFL stadium task force issued the following statement following the league announcement:"The Rams playing a home game in London next season is irrelevant if the team leaves St. Louis. Theoretically, they could do that next year as well if they don't relocate.I agree I think in theory something like that would happen. I do think it would cost a little more this time. The fact the Dome cost more than the 6 million bond payment for the city a year is often unheard since the task force likes to only mention that. Thing is annual cost for maintenance and repairs has been going up yearly. Last year I believe the cost was 4 million just to keep it in usable condition and reports have said in the next 15 years the basic maintenance cost would rise from 5-9 million dollars annually. So my speculation is they would probably try and prorate some of that yearly cost in as well. by Hacksaw 9 years 7 months ago Total posts: 24523 Joined: Apr 15 2015 AT THE BEACH Moderator Re: Rams to Play in London in 2016 POST #24 Rams the Legends live on wrote:Hacksaw wrote:The St. Louis NFL stadium task force issued the following statement following the league announcement:"The Rams playing a home game in London next season is irrelevant if the team leaves St. Louis.
