The bone color reminds me of college dudes who had never done laundry before and threw everything together on warm/hot. The year I was a Resident Assistant one of the “classes” I “taught” was Laundry 101.

demoff liked to talk about how the unis would pay tribute to the rams history while also reflecting the future, yet for god only knows what silly reason he not only approved the nonsensical zigzag stitching on the jersey "patch" but he also approved the prominent location of the zigzag stitching.... please, please, someone please tell me what the fuck this stitching has to do with the los angeles rams?

the folks at uniwatch asked for an explanation:

I asked the team about the yellow zigzag stitching along the top edge of both patches and was told the following: “This is a unique design feature that we are excited to introduce. This stitching above the patch is the same stitch used throughout our jerseys — it’s a feature we could potentially use across other merchandise going forward.” An article posted yesterday on The Athletic (paywalled) added this: “The zig-zagging ‘signature stitch’ was inspired by some fashion designers’ iconic ‘mark’ on the clothing they create.

me: what the fuck?

I continue to be completely baffled by the intense, almost visceral, negative reaction to the new uniforms.

I'm not saying that I think they're the best unis we've had, but I don't think they are that bad at all.

The blue ones to me look like a new take on the classic style. Again, would I have preferred they just use the throwbacks? Yes. But what they came up with looks good to me.

As for the bone, again... I like them. I think its different, and will present well on the field. Would I have done some things differently (maybe not such a shiny material for the lettering; pair with the yellow pants)... sure.

I guess I'm in the minority here, and we'll see more lamentations and mockery on this thread.

I just don't see what you're seeing.

I am as baffled as you that any longtime RAMS fan can accept these changes to what was once the best uniforms in the league. I am completely puzzled. I am also irritated by those who admit the old classics were great but will just accept these with no fight in them at all. If more people spoke up the RAMS would be forced to change. There's no ifs ands or buts about it. Money talks and if the RAMS merchandise tanks you better believe they will change.
There are forums online that dedicate themselves to logos, helmets and uniforms. For some of us this is a real big deal. I know if I was a fan of the changes you'd never hear from me about this. I'd be happy and let the haters stew. Just like I don't read the Goff criticism threads because I believe he's a very good QB.

Unlike you, I think the alternative is tilting at windmills.

Why do you think its only a big deal to "the haters"? Its a big deal to me as well. I just don't see the issue the way you see it.

Fight what? Fight who? If the Rams cared at all what we fans think, they would have asked more of us for input on the uniform redesign. They didn't, because they don't. They already know what we long-time fans (pre-1994) think. And they were fully prepared for our hatred of whatever they put out there. They don't care.

The people they care about are younger people. They wanted a new look, and they got one. They think younger people will be attracted to a new look. And you know what, from what I have heard and from what I can tell, they are.

For now, I'm ok with it. I don't really like the bone color, but the blue unis seem fine to me. And I like the helmets, segmented horn notwithstanding.

Los Angeles Rams Finally Release Puzzling New Uniforms
https://www.forbes.com/sites/demetriusb ... a3fb60e947

excerpt -

Over a month after the other six National Football League teams with change on their mind started to unveil new uniforms and nearly a month after their new tenant-mates in SoFi Stadium raised the standard of uniforms to a new level, the Los Angeles Rams have arrived to the new uniform party in the NFL. Unfortunately, they can’t use the excuse of being “fashionably late” since they will be showing up to this particular party with the worst look of the entire bunch.

Unfortunately, it (the Rams new uniform concept) didn’t translate well when coming into the real world and it’s a bit of a shame for the Rams since they’ve spent such a long time trying to sort out their identity, even before they went ahead with their new uniforms. It’s especially a shame when you consider that their neighbors are going to have arguably the best look in the NFL after unveiling their new look last month. The Chargers did a perfect job of honoring their past and bringing it into the present with their new look, while a lot of what the Rams wanted to do ended up getting lost in translation. We might be hearing from the Rams again in about five or six years when they become eligible to switch their look up again.

The explanation for the stitching is just a cringe worthy as the explanation for the colors and Fibonacci horn/wave. These people don't deserve to be employed. If they want to try and pass that shit off at a fashion show, fine. But I thought this was still supposed to be a football team?
